When will Live on PC = Live Next Gen?

Just wondering... does anyone remember when the PC games became equivalent to the PS2 and Xbox versions? Next gen Live on PC will be sweet.

You'll probably see the PC version make that next-gen leap when Windows Vista gets released along with the new DX10 video cards from ATi and nVidia in about 6 months.

I have no doubt the PC version will surpass what you'll see on the PS3 and 360. One look at Crysis and Flight Simulator X on the PC will make you drool for Vista and DX10. And the developers say that Crysis right now is running on DX9.

Can't PC already handle next-gen style graphics? Well at least from the games that have been out.

Money. It's all about money. I'm sure that DX10 will improve the quality and flow of the game altogether, but it could just as well run on XP with the proper setup. I wonder if EA would do a little sneaky thing of releasing the regular version on the 25th and then releasing the upgraded version on the day/week Vistas is released. If I do upgrade my machine, I'm definitely going to get the Live version for the PC.

These guys have the biggest gaming company. How can they not upgrade their PC versions to next-gen? LOL

I think they didn't use the next-gen lighting for that game. That's what's missing. The colors and lighting of next-gen. PC could easily handle next-gen madden and live.
