    Re: Leipzeg Presentation Video

Let me edit my post: didn't mean to offend anyone.

This video wasn't making the game look promising. But the guy said it was an early build.

Hopefully they will show us better footage later this week.

As I stated before, the sliding looks to be gone. But its still noticable when they move backwards. The presentation as far as the starting lineups looks nice. Some of the players look old, I guess since they placed facial expression graphics too it.

Even at an early build only thing I mentioned or saw wrong, was just the level of speed. It seemed slower. Hopefully it will move at a faster pace....

I'm just hoping I can honestly have two basketball games this year...I can care less what you guys think. I don't hate Live nor have I ever. I've hated the direction the series took. And I just want it to improve. I've bought almost every 2k and EA game up til the 2005 version of Live and 2005 version of madden....Don't take my favoring 2k over EA thing personal...So far it just seems 2k has placed the most improvements from 2k6 to 2k7. And Live 06 to 07..seems to be a step backwards...

I'm just stating my opinion. It was nothing personal and your taking my thoughts the wrong way....

I highly doubt he was lying about the build. It was quite obvious to anyone watching it that it was clearly unstable, not to mention they would not release a final build where passes float like there's no gravity and teleport into player's hands. Leipzig Games Convention isn't such a big thing like E3 was, maybe they figured they could get away with using an old build. I'm not sure but I am almost certain that was not the final build.

The starting line up thing is nice, but the player models look jacked...Dirk looked like Herman Munster, and Jason Terry looked 50 years old. The game moves slow as it did last year.

Look like the sliding is only noticeable, when players move backwards. Other than that...the feet are planted...

He's lying about it being an early build. They don't have time to change it before September. And you can tell he swayed away from the subject of gameplay. By talking about All-star weekend and placing features back in...Its corporate garble, when your item is questioned....

Don't see why EA would let them film an early build and put in on the web, 1 month before release...You would thing, with the marketing and PR team they got, they'd release tons of video themselves...This is EA for crying out loud.

With their history...There should be gameplay videos everywhere by now...

I'm just not believing the whole early build crap. And none of you should either. Because if the next video is just as bad, then you'd be even more disappointed or trying to make up more excuses.

So far gameplay wise, its still slow....or slower.....
You are getting seriously close to trolling. When the 2K/gametrailers.com videos came out 2 weeks ago and Beluba and 2K claimed it was an old E3 build, you automatically believed them. Now when EA does the same thing, they have to be lying? This is your last warning.

The ball movement is very slow, but I think they were trying to get it right so that when they tweak the speed, everything will move better. I like what I saw. There seemed to be slight sliding that my eye caught here and there when a player turned or something. Couldn't remember when because when it registered into my mind, I was already a few seconds away from wherever it was. I like that they movement is more realistic. The game is incredibly slow as hell though. I'm looking forward to what they'll toss us. The updated build is tomorrow in the video. Definitely looking forward to more info.......
A couple of things I noticed:

Dirk looks horrible in that build...he looks like Frankenstein.

As with every version of Live, the speed will have to be significantly lowered to get a realistic game.

          I love the starting lineups.

Even Devin Harris has his shooting style.

For an early build, it looked pretty darn good to me. Well, at least a lot better than last year. But I need camera angles. I have to have a broadcast camera angle to play. Hopefully EA didn;t screw that up this time.

Not bad for an early build. The game had an incredibly slow pace and its obvious that most of the major animations had not yet been added properly. Passing mechanic was very slow and unfinished. Seemed like a pretty decent video to tide us over until we see an actual updated build on the Gamespot show.

All things considered, it looks pretty good, obviously the whole slow mo thing will be cleaned up by the time the game comes out. Im not really feeling the dribbling animations though, everyone is hunched over like Wojo in his Duke days.

Intro was very cool too, oh and Tmac's jumpshot is perfect.

1st thing i noticed it look's like the mavs are still with-out american airlines center in the game. Just like last year.

                      Re: Leipzeg Presentation Video

A little slow and some sliding still there but the animations were smooth, jump shot forms nice, and frame rate noticeably better than 06 which is huge for me.

Some of the 'footplanting' animations seemed strange but most looked good and the way the guys set their feet before a jumper is cool. More natural looking movements overall.

                      Thanks for the link.

Yeah, Tmac's signature jumpshot is perfect. I think that will kind of quell some of the doubts about what his shot looked like in the IGN video.
