I don't think anyone has played Live at 100% complete. I also don't think the guy's who have actaully played the game in most of those videos know what the hell they are doing half the time.

That's the main reason why I always just waite to get a game personally in my hands and make my analysis at that time. Speculation is basically all it is right now until people actaully play the game and judge it by what they've seen up front not through the eyes of others.

But then again in todays world there are plenty of people who rely on others to make a decision for them. Who knows Live could be complete garbage or it could be a solid basketball game. The fact is how can anyone really tell if they haven't played the game themselves and only judged it based on videos with guy's that obviously don't seem to know what the hell they are doing in some of those videos when controlling teams and players. I've yet to see them switch camera's, state what percentage of the game is complete on the build they are playing, nor provide a speed setting.

For all I know it could be on the lame default camera and set to the slowest or highest speed being played on buid about 85-90% complete. You read one thing and someone is saying something totally different about Live compared to what someone else said or described the game. That's why it's always best to make judgement for your self when a game is finally released.

I actually haven't seen many differing opinions when it comes to live 07. It seems to be universally regarded as terrible. Yeah it's good to actually play the game before declaring it a bad game but when you have a lot of the major gaming sites saying that it is terrible people get a little leery about spending their money on it.

I still don't know how a camera view can change the gameplay or the animations.

Agreed. It's an issue of making an informed decision; not of letting someone else make the choice for you. We've gotten to the point where a person's opinions based on media/press releases/hands on impressions aren't enough to get an idea of a game's quality. That is if the game's quality is seemingly going to be bad. Even playing the demo or renting isn't enough - it's almost like you have to purchase the game before you can make a qualified guess on a game's quality. Which by then is too late. EA deserves to be called out for what they're doing with Live 360; it's not like people are unnecessarily bashing them for no reason

Same thing Im thinking my dude. I dont see terrible animations would look better from different angles. They are still terrible animations in the game, just from a different angle. Its not like they're going to be smooth all of a sudden.

Graphics are pretty nice as far as the player models and stadiums go from the videos Ive seen. Its just the terrible animations ruin it. Hopefully its smoothed out by release to give us something to work with. As of now the game looks so ugly in motion. I'll give it a try if we get some better videos when it releases. All EA had to do was build on what they had last year, I dont know wtf happened.

I've seen a few differing opinions but most have been bad. Only 3 websites have actually played the game: IGN, NBA-Live.com and Gamespot. IGN and Gamespot both stated that the ball physics and animations were all over the place and the game looked bad. NBA-Live.com stated the same thing but that the devs said that would be cleared up by release and they said the game looked good. Now NBA-Live.com is a fan site so that has to be taken with a grain of salt but Andrew at the site has always been pretty honest and unbiased in past years. At this point who knows.

Really its either 2 things...EA is holding back from showing any videos until release and will just try to ride on the Live name to get sales or they asked the major sites to not show any videos because they feel the 90% videos are not a true representation of the game.

I think its the first choice but I hope its the second.

EA has never been this quiet with their games.

They have never just rode the name either. It was either market a gimmick to death or pump up something like showing Dr J glide from the ft line.

They have a marketable face on the cover (Tmac), whom the chinese seem to love to death, so that would have to push sales.

EA's track record has been less than stellar and they havent given us a reason to believe otherwise.

Im hoping the game is good because i want 2 good bball games. I preordered both, but Im having my doubts like many of you are for obvious reasons.

IGN and Gamespot are playing less than 100% builds of both games and 2K stopped hiding. This makes no sense

For some reason, I can't see any of these videos that are shown as being solid things that we'll be getting in our households. I honestly feel that EA is holding back because they're focusing more on their hockey I guess. I don't know if EA is still working out bugs and adding things but I don't feel that we're shown the most solid stuff. Looking at the videos that were at E3, we saw slight emotion when players were looking at the ball and following around. It seems like the emotion that is suppose to be added into the game with that "new engine" hasn't been present in any of the movies we've seen. At least that's what it feels like to me.

In honesty, I don't know if EA is doing a 3 year plan like many said they did with the MVP title. I honestly am curious to see what happens. Live is a rather solid enough title. I don't know exactly how it played last year but I'm sure they spent a little time on those little things. I mean, I was hearing from KDRE and WTF a bit about the little things that are done in the game. EA isn't that much of a slouch. I'm no true fan of EA sports games, but I have to take all these previews with a grain only because it's slightly off from EA's normal habits when it comes to this game. They've been incredibly tight lipped about mostly everything except through those blog posts on IGN. I hope the game does step up to the plate and delivers something grand because I'd love to have the mindset to chose again because greatness is coming from both companies.

Trust me dude the animations and gameplay was considered very bad last year aswell. I switched it to Press Camera adjusted a few more things worked on the speed and Live looked and played much better.

It's no different from NHL or Madden the camera's are whack at DEFAULT but when EA actually allowed you to adjust the camera in Madden the view and game looked much better when in action. Samething for NHL go to Press View and the game looks better.

IS this the case with Live 07 who knows but I've done enough in years past with the game to know that the camera and speed settings does have an effect on the way the game looks and plays. That along with the fact that you have guy's playing the game at less than 100% and they don't seem to know what the heck they are doing is enough for me to take the waite and see approach.

Changing a camera angle won't make the animations look any better. All it can basically do is allow you to have a more playable persepective for the game. I believe a wait and see approach is in order as well, but its up to EA to PROVE that they have made as good of a game as they have talked about, we as consumers shouldn't have to assume that it will turn out better than the videos we have seen, which have been terrible mind you. I'm not going to waste money on a game just so I can "see" if they've improved the game from the vids we've seen so far, these various game sites should give us a pretty good enough idea of how the final game turns out.
