I can respect EA if they have the pieces in place already for a solid basketball game. I f they need more time to make thegameplay even better I have no gripes about that decision.

Besides it seems like these video games get released within 2-3 weeks right after each other anyways. I still haven't started a dynasty in Madden and just now got NHL 07 up and running smooth for me.

So, I can use some down time away from sliders and pushing Live back is fine by me. Hell they can take until the end of october if they want aslong as it improves gameplay.

Now please get a damn fatigue patch out for Madden EA that's the only thing I need right now.

First off playmakers let me say man I really enjoy the work you do on these games. I was a huge a NFL 2K5 fan and didn't want to really play Madden because it never felt like football to me. But you changed my opinion that game because your sliders were outstanding. I'm a huge fan of NBA 2K basketball and that game looks and plays outstanding. I hope you will consider picking up a copy.

Now here's my thoughts on NBA Live from what I've seen. The graphics and atmosphere seem top notch but the animations were really lacking. If EA made this delay to get the animations up to par I think NBA Live 07 will give us two very good basketball games. I'm also leaning towards picking it up if that is the because I know with your work on the game it will make it worth the time. I think EA has it headed in right direction but the only thing I saw as a minus was the animations. If they use the extra time to smooth that out they will most likley have a very good basketball game to release.

Hopefully both games will end up in your collection for 07 because I really enjoy the work you do on these games.

Odd place to announce that. Seems like it should get it's own sticky topic. The ads are already running too. If they are really delaying it 2K should follow and fix that "hawk down"/fastbreak/unrealistic speed problem they have.

Yup! Mine too, but, I must say that this is why its good to have competition. Everyone can say what they want, but EA Im sure realized that their game was not as good as 2k's and wanted to spend more time with Live and hopefully improve their game as much as possible.

Im all for an improved game. I've said from jump I'll wait to see. This just solidified cancelling the preorder.

I'll have a basketball game to play at the time already so there is no rush. Hopefully they make it good because i'd still pick it up but at the moment it isnt worth 60 bucks from what i've seen.

I think its could be just a thing we all see. The animations are broken.

Well, I'm pretty sure that I called this sometime last week

There are some pretty significant things that need to be worked out from my understanding, so hopefully this is the truth.

This is what has me skeptical, they are running commercials and advertising, I personally hope they delay it but I just don't believe they are. PEACE!!!

Wow! I really hope this is delayed another month just to get this thing looking right. It's a shame to see this series take such a fall in recent years and I want 2 b-ball games to play this year. Do it EA!!!

Wow this is good news I guess. Hopefully if this is true EA will release a demo of the improved game when it gets closer to the new release date.

Well, that's a shocker if it's true. I don't know how much updating they can get done. I definitely know that they can have the trades more up-to-date which is something VC always seems to have a problem with. I'll definitely keep an eye out for this joint. Kind of weird how EA has been doing more of the stuff that VC use to do "last generation"....or so I assume.......

They should at least give us a dunk contest demo to play with for a while then release a gameplay demo later when they fix whatever it is they need to. Nate Robinson,James White,Josh Smith and Gerald Green should be in it. That'll make the delay easier.

Here's the deal, as we progress from infancy to adolesence in the internet age, we go through many levels of tolerance. Unfortunately for the truth tellers we have to taper our response in order to not sound like a troll. I don't mind trolls, it is a necessary. Hyperbole layden statement a troll may make, a mature mind should be able to discern an emotional response.

At risk of being banned, I've tried to give a cogent argument of the abomination that is NBA LIVE '07. Mods, in their quest to be vigilent sometimes to their detriment, fight on the wrong front. Look at the thread "check this video" and you'll see what I'm talking about.

The guy has had all night to answer the post below his "Could you be kind enough to provide a link that shows the game has been delayed please. All sites that I've checked still show the game as being released on time, including this site." yet hasn't.

And why if the 360 version was delayed would they let some forum mod post the details and in a thread about something unrelated?

Why also would IGN release the team rosters today "EA Sports hooked us up with these stats straight from the 360 version of the game" if the game was delayed?

If true and they are still working on the title then expect at least another months delay and a release around the same time as the PS3. I can't see them making a big difference in a month.

I hope this is a sign of EA taking a diffrent approcah and maybe wanting the game polished and more competitive gameplay wise. If so this would be a major stride towards earning my respect back. My guess though is that there is a major ossue thats not being ironed out in time. If we are lucky maybe next year madden will be delayed until its truely next gen.

just because they've started advertising for the game doesn't mean the 360 version isn't delayed. there are, what, like 4 other versions of live 07? any they're all releasing on time. are you proposing EA pulls all of their ads just because the 360 rev is delayed? that's ridiculous.

btw, my sources tell me this may in fact be true, as the game has not "gone gold" yet...
