    Live Controls.....

Anyone have a list of freestyle dribbling moves? I found the ones on Freestyle Superstars (IGN). But I want to know how to change between doing a cross-over in front or back or through the legs. It seems pretty random and the EA booklet is pretty much worth less....

Anyone have the guide....I was thinking it might have this....

    thanks

The controls are actually listed in the game under the game controls menu. I think the right and left bumpers, might be the triggers, take you through the different types of controls. Hope this helps.

Thanks..I'll check that out later...I swear it didn't list how right stick controlled each dribbling move, but I could be wrong...

I got both games and it's confusing as hell right now. I played 2 more games of NBA 2K7 started shooting the ball because I'm thinking of Live controls.

Switch over to Live and it got worse.....

I'm trying learn the controls of both games right now but it will confuse the hell out of you going back and forth that's for sure.

I'm actually having a hard time with FSS moves so far.

Yeah, that's why I haven't bought 2K7 yet. I want it, and I will buy it, but, switching games really messes with my head. I mean even switching from NBA Live to NBA Street was a mess for me. And, concealed, I promise it's there, promise.

I really like 2K7's player animations and on court passion by the players. I like how the coaches react in 2K7 aswell but they don't look impressive. The players themselves still look kinda current gen to me but the animations take the focus off of the actual player modules.

I prefer Live's graphics, atmosphere and arenas because I think they are more Next Gen in that area. Live lacks 2K's presentation and on court player demeanor. Live's coaches look by far more polished but they don't pace the sidelines like you would see the coaches do in 2K7.

I don't think either game is without it's flaws and both could use something the other game has in it. I think they both play pretty good basketball just in different way from each other. If you combined them together you'd probably have the perfect basketball game. As it stands right now I have to tweak both games to make it more challenging for me because even though I get the controls mixed up sometimes when I do get ot right scoring seems to easy for me especially down low on both games.

The only game I can really compare 2K7 to is MLB 06 because I see alot of little things and details that make those games kinda similiar and that's why they are fun to play. The only comparison I can make for Live 07 would probably be NHL 07 because neither game is what they use to be on the previous consoles and EA changed the way things are done from Live 06 to 07that I don't think two games play similiar. So, NHL 07 is what comes accross my mind for Live 07. You have to get use to the new controlls and the way the players shoot now because the releasee point of the shots now play a bigger role and mostly every thing has gone the analog way instead of the past X or A button method to push.

As for edits I'm not sure it's really needed this year. The players don't play anything like last year to me. They actually get the BIG's more involved without Re-rating anyone. The Playbooks will probably be the only thing I do for each team other than creating sliders.

                  Controls:

Below is a list of the controls for controlling a Superstar action and being able to switch between player package types.

Change Superstar Type -- LB (hold) + RB (tap)

                  Stage 1
LB + R-Analog Stick Up, Down, Left, or Right = FSS Level 1 Action (dependant on Superstar Type)

                  Stage 2
LB + R-Analog Stick Up or Down & Sweep Up or Down = FSS Level 2 Action (dependant on Superstar Type) – Quarter Circles

                  Stage 3
LB + R-Analog Stick Left or Right & Sweep Up or Down = FSS Level 3 Action (dependant on Superstar Type) – Half Circles

                  Stage 4
LB + R-Analog Stick Up and Clockwise Full Circle = FSS Level In the Zone Action (dependant on Superstar Type) – Full Circle

                  Stage 5
We have also added in the ability to simply use button presses and not the Right Stick to help more Novice Users out. So, you can hold down LB and press one of the face buttons to ‘freestylize’ that action, if that player has that superstar type.

LB + (X) = FSS High Flyer or Post Dunk – dependant on player type at the time (randomly picked)
                  LB + (Y) = FSS Scorer Lay-Up (randomly picked)
LB + (B) = FSS Shooter Shot (randomly picked)
LB + (A) = FSS Play Maker Pass (randomly picked)

Switching Superstar Types on R-Analog Stick:
Quickly change superstar types for players by holding down LB and tapping RB. This will cycle between the types that that player has.

*If the player doesn’t have a package available the R-Analog stick will remain what it is in its current state.
*The User will know if a player has more than 1 package available, which packages are available, and what level the packages are by the player indicators shown in the HUD.
*When a player type changes, so does the icon in the player HUD.
*When LB is not held down the R-Analog Stick remains the Dribbling/Triple Threat Freestyle Stick for all players.

In the Zone Controls (Unlockable Moves):
Every Level 3 FSS will be able to gain access to new moves when their team gains momentum and they will be deemed ‘In the Zone’. Think of these as unlockables in game. As soon as these actions become available the player indicator for the Level 3 FSS will show ‘In the Zone’.

                  Controls - Total Freestyle Control:

                  Superstar - High Flyer Moves

                  Superstar - Play Maker Moves

                  Superstar - Scorer Moves

                  Superstar - Shooter Moves

                  Superstar - Post Moves
