Speed Setting I need feedback

I'm at a lost to which setting is best. I've Played with it at 100 and the players do move incredible when when cutting and coming off picks but it's makes defense damn hard.

At 45-50 it makes things more manageable but they seem to show less urgency. I can see their animations better and stay in front of my man better but they can beat beat me off the dribble better with speed set high. They also seem to move quicker running their offense with a higher speed but I think alot of people will struggle at first on defense.

So, what's your feelings and don't be shy.

Man I just dont know, I have moved it all around and the highest scoring game I have gotten is 79-70 on 7 min quarters. Anything past 50 does make defense kind of a pain in the *** but who knows..

I am just hoping by my 20th game I will have the camera speed and sliders situated or else I might break the disc in half and try to slit my throat

Just throwin this out there since I still don't have it but what about changing it per game or team? Like if you're playing the Spurs set it to 45 and if you're playing the Suns put it on 95.

Playmakers how far along are you on sliders man?

I didn't really get into Live at first because I was playing 2K7 alot after it's release. But that game is starting to wear on me becuase I didn't spend all this money on my 360 for a port. I admire what 2K did with the animations but that game is a gloryfied port from current gen. The players look down right awful and the sounds aren't any better. If I hear Kenny Smith say one more how great some scrub player is I'm going to blow up.

There is nothing next gen about the game accept it's animations. I'm going to try and get back into Live because alteast the game does look and sound next gen despite some it's weaknesses. I'm really frustrated right now man.

I'm playing with speed maxed out at the moment. Feels way too slow at the default setting to me.

Yeah this is the direction I'm headed now and I'm liking the game with the speed maxed out.

I'm probably 2-3 days away from finishing everything. But I'm not a savior around here for NBA Live. I take the game and modify to play what I consider good basketball. If you had issues with the game before sliders you'll most likely still have issues after the sliders.

Live is game this year that you either like or you don't like plain and simple. Not me or anyone else is going to make Live any better than 2K7 for you. I do agree about the game being to outdated on alot of stuff and that's why my feelings have changed recently about it. But if your looking for the perfect game this year it ain't going to happen because neither one is perfect and it basically comes down to who's apporach or direction you like the most EA's or 2K's. I prefer the fresh approach and that's EA's game right now. But what works for me isn't going to work for others.

I don't want anyone thinking I'm going to make Live better because that's not true. The only person that can make either of hese games better is yourself and that depends on which one you enjoy the most. You'll have decide like I did which game fits your style. Maybe neither game will appeal to you but that's something only the individual themselves can decide.

As for me I'm working to make this game better for me.

I've only played one game but I like it towards the higher end. I had fun with it at 100.

Yeah those are the Game Play setting I'm using right now for speed and camera.

The defensive settings are what I'm using for HUMAN only right now.

I'm having a very tough time man deciding on which speed is best 100 or 45. The reason why I say this is because at 45 the action shows more fluid animations but at 100 the game pace picks up and the teams move better in the half court set.

But either way I'm really liking the Press Camera view at those settings. I should have everything done by friday or saturday. I saw LBJ playing PG tonight for Cleveland and it shocked me because I didn't change any player posistions at all. I set the AUTO SUBS to ON and Fatigue Effect to 75 and there he was playing PG for Snow in the 3rd qtr. I had the Minutes on 10 so that might actually by why people are seeiong less subs if they are playing lesser minutes in the game.

I had to slow it down for my liking, old cats like myself needs to see everything I knocked off 10 clicks. I find it amazing that at 10 mins the scores still are not crazy high which I like. Thanks for the response. PEACE!!

been doing my own research since last night

ive come up with a good formula to work with the high speeds.

all these are from the defualt number.
The game has to be on SuperStar for these settings to work right.
Game speed-I got it at 90(it gives the game speed and a fair amount of fastbreak..not too much defensive problems)
Camera- press box height maxed out and zoom 4 clicks back from the max setting.(this minimizes the jerk of the camera following the ball)

To counter act the more loose defense I maxed out help Defense but I got cpu double team effects at around 25. The sink or swim setting I got on cpu and user at 70 to allow the big men to do more moves.

On ball physical defense i got set to 45 cause on Superstar they try to wear your shorts if you leave it at 50 or raise it.

The shooting- cpu-long range at 30
cpu-mid range at 35
cpu-short range at 30
if you know basketball those close jumpers are harder than mid range
user long range default
user mid range 55
user short range default
I got the block shot ability all the way down to like 5..only the people who can block get blocks..you still get the occasional(once a game) where smush parker will smush the ball in your face.

I've been rolling with most of playmakers sliders from 06 and they seem to work for 07 this year. I have speed at 45 like he had last year amd everything has been cool for me. But I'm playing on All-Star right now.

i think game speed at full blast is way too fast and unrealistic. I'd probably lean towards 45.

what are your thoughts on the double team down low, do you feel its too much or realistic? playing with memphis i can't back down with gasol without the team collasping on me.

you mentioned fatigue effect, i haven't seen this slider. i've been having problems with subs not being subbed.
