which game [live07 or 2k7] has the best player/team behaviour/tendencies.

if u have played both games a fair amount, which game has the most realistic team/player tendencies and behaviours.
ie: do the grizzlies/twolves, center their offense around gasol, kg?
do the mavs utilize dirks incredible offense from all over the court?
do the suns run and gun at any chance and use amare as the beast down low?

that is the most important thing to me in ball games.
i want the game that mimics the nba and their teams/players the best.

i assume its 2k7 with their signature style and team sliders but nbalive has all those ratings which in theory should have every player being very distinct with their skills and tendencies.

playmakers,or any other gamer who has played both, which game gets this right the most?
    thanks

2k7 gets the team aspect over live in a major way, for example when i played with the hornets vs. heat i had to run plays the hornets run to get the shoots i wanted for peja, and when the heat got the bal the ran the c flash post to shaq, when i start to double team he would kick it to the open player, in the 4th as i was up by 6 it turned into the d wade show he would come of the pick at the top of the key pump fake and drive if i collapse to soon he would pull up and shoot or pass to antoine walker and i had to watch that ugly jumper and that damn shimmy in live j will and dwade shoot the ball all day didnt feel like the heat. and damn near every one on the 2k7 have there jumper its nice 2k7 hands down

Agree with both of them. 2K in a landslide victory.

            landslide victory. why?
in live07 do teams and star players not play the way they do in reality.
is live still riddled with guard dominance or are the bigs that are the no 1 options actually used properly this time around.

I had a game today Lakers[me] vs T-Wolves and I must say Stars dominate. KG just destroyed from inside the paint and just outside the paint. Also against the Rockets Ming and T-Mac were very impressive Battier also gave me problems. I was especially impressed with KG He destroyed me with a variety of moves. Hopes that answers your ?

Have yet to actually play Live but the players tendecies seem to be on the money in 2k.

My point is proven when going against Pure PGs like Paul. He doesn't try to score...hardly ever. He passes the ball, delivers some nice passes. I loved it when he drives down the lane, naturally I try to stop it, Odom steps off of Peja, Paul gives him a dime and swissh.

Lebron James is the same way, he doesn't try to score every time down the court, he gets everyone involved and sometimes he'll try and take over. But when I played the 6ers...Iverson pretty much was the main focus.

Also I know that when players change team the strategy changes accordingly. Carter went to the Bucks and even though Redd was still on the team, they both played at the same time and the CPU had M.Williams as the PG and Bogut down low(who is really good a few years down the line) and it seems like they had a whole little system going on on how to use Carter and Redd with Bogut down low.

Nog's trust me they shoot J's this year man. I'm not going to get into the 2K7vs Live 07 thing anymore.

But as far as Live goes and you know me I observe every team and let me say LBJ actually runs PG for the Cavs when they put Snow on bench. The teams run plays right out the box and they go to their star players often. But what I'm doing now is expanding their playbooks even further.

Tendecies do kick in Live if you've played it enough or long enough to observe the game. I haven't even touched one single players attributes and they do what they are suppose to do. I posted at one time that a guy like Tony Parker if you repeatedly let him beat you off the drive he;s going to keep doing it until you switch up to Zone or play off him. Iverson is the same way in this game.

I'm now playing the game at 100 speed this year and unlike last year not all teams run. If looked at the scores from some of posters you can tell EA has really worked on this part of the game. You really have to play 10-12 minute qtr's to get scores up close to the 100's which is pretty realistic IMO.

But Garnett, Brand, Dirk, Wallace and many other versatile PF's will play the inside and outside game this year. LBJ is most versatile player I've seen the game so far. He's played up to 3 different posistions in a game vs me. If you enjoyed Super Star Level last year I think it's even better this year simply because of the player tendencies and playbooks I'm starting to put together. The game has flaws but to me I see some very good things aswell.

You would probably like the game just as much as me because you've always tweaked it to play your style of basketball and their are tons of things you can tweak but I don't really think the player attributes need much tweaking that's why I haven't touched anyone this year.

                    thanks pms.
i will be purchasing this game as it comes out a week or 2 before 2k7 here in aus [maybe more if 2k delays from the past are anything to go by, god i hope they release it at the original date this year].
2k7 definatley feels like the game that i will be keeping but i will still give live a shot. ur sliders and playbooks will be complete by then so i will impliment those straight away but i know me. and i wont be able to handle not editiing players as judging by the ign ratings page, there is just too many incorrect attribute differences between players. iam a perfectionist when it comes to rosters and i will be tweaking attributes for sure.
been playign 2k6 a lot to tie me over till the new nba game releases so i am pretty sure that 2k7 will be my game of choice [judging by the masses of praise it has got] and that u can tweak to your hearts content and teams and players are spot on. i got the tendencies pretty spot on in 2k6 with some tweaking so 2k7 will only be better.

in some ways i wish live was the superior product as it comes out in australia before 2k but it seems ea need another year or 2 before they get it right.
                    thanks for your input pms.
u should post some stats/summaries of games u have played. ie: leading scorers, rebounders etc....who got player of the game.....

I have Live 07 for the XBOX, and it's good when you are playing with friends because you are able to lock the players you want to be. Although, the gameplay has not changed from last year. The animations are nice, but the CPU is just ridiculous. My cousins and I played against the Spurs and Duncan had maybe 3 shots, while Parker and Ginobili took the majority of the shots (We played on 3 mins). Everytime we scored a basket, the Spurs would inbound to either Parker or Ginobili and they would hustle down the court and take a quick shot, and it would always go in. This was getting extremely frustrating because we played our best defence, but Parker and Ginobili still were able to hit crazy shots. I hardley saw set plays from the Spurs. Maybe it's different on the 360, I don't know.

Just popped in a game on PS2 and ran CPU vs. CPU game Spurs vs. Nuggets. Unfortunately, the exact thing you're talking about happened. Spurs offense the entire game was literally inbounds or oultet pass to Ginobli or Parker and then watch them run down the length of the floor ball-hog style and force/take the shot. Anyone else who had points (Duncan, Horry, etc) for them got them by rebounding Parker misses.

Sometimes the CPU will make one pass and then that player will just shoot the jumpshot right away. I hope copying Playmakers 360 slider can help out with this...but we were warned about the AI offense after OS/IGN posted those 4 current gen gameplay vids. The offense in those games was the exact same thing - one guy running the length of the floor and forcing his shot over and over again. Not good.

In Live, I've seen centers like Shaq and Yao dribble the ball upcourt and I've also seen Kirk Hinrich and Luke Jackson do tomahawk jams.
