    1st Review from 1UP

    5 out of 10.

NBA 2K7 gets 8/10 and this is what they say at the end of that review, "From front to back, the competition just doesn't stack up. This is clearly the premier basketball game of the year. In fact, when you match up NBA 2K7 bucket for bucket with Live 07, it's a slaughter. We're talking a 120-48 type of lopsidedness."

This is major blow (and obvious reason EA held back review copies) coming from a site that has never been kind to 2K sports games and gave NBA 2K6 a 6.2 compared to Live 06's 7.5.

I think we know why ea might have made the sites delay there reviews. Also looks like ea knows nothing or cares nothing to use the espn license to actually enhance gameplay or presentation during and actually game. The power of the 360 and ea just uses it to make pretty graphics.

Okay but you should post something about the review of Live, not someone's comparison final thoughts.

What did he say about Live? Thats usually the premise of a review right?

He hated the player movements, dunk glitches, and he felt the game was "arcadey". He basically said what everybody else has been saying the game pales in comparison to the competition.

Hence he gave the game a 5 out of 10.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Live ends up averaging a score of around 6/10 to 7/10.

I am just really upset that I didn't wait before purchasing Live. Also mad at not believing what a lot of other people were saying abou this game.

If the scores do turn out to be low, then this rumour of EA asking sites to hold off releasing the reviews (combined with not releasing a demo) will not increase my trust in EA as a company.

My next goal will be to trade this game in ASAP since once word is out, I am sure that most game stores will give me less than half what I paid.

I live in Canada, I went and bought 2k7 the other day at an EB, the guy had ONE copy left and literally about 25 Live's. He said everyone is already trading in Live for 2K7. I told him that I already owned it and he said, may be you can sell it on ebay, funny. The animations in Live are SEVERELY lacking compared to 2K7, they are not even close. Live does many things well, but nowhere close to 2K7. I think the reviews are going to be poor!

It's funny how that is this year. For years live was considered the smoother of the two games but I don't know what happened this year.
