Wow, it seems as EA has finally gone too far...

There are actually people saying they will not buy Live next year, and are returning this years copy immediately. Even on this site which is devoted to NBA Live a good 90% and above hates this years game. Also they requested a patch from EA, and got an e-mail from EA saying that they are sorry and will try to do better next year. Ouch. http://www.nbaliveforums.com/forum63.php

I bet you the PS3 version turns out being the better game, i wouldn't put it past EA to totally focus on PS3's version as it makes its debut on Sony's next console, EA loves Sony, 2K has always loved Xbox.

It was hype to be better than the current gen. It turns out, only the graphics manage to meet the hype. The year later same thing happened, current gen espcially the PC version of Madden is better. I don't buy the idea that EA will do better because it is Sony PS3. EA want profits and they would want to get it from both consoles not just one and sabotage the other. They would benefit more if they can stay on the good side of both cmpanies.

Keep dreaming. What PS3 owners are going to get is a port from the 360 with maybe higher texture detail.

Yes, you forgot probably more glitches also, since it will be EA's first time working with PS3.

I don't buy that the PS3 version will be where Live stands out. I used to be an EA Flameboy but slowly but surely they have dissapointed for over 4 years now. Especially the Live franchise. It's been a joke since PS2 so how is it that PS3 is where they'll shine? The PS2 versions of Live have sucked for years. They need to throw out he development team and start from scratch. Same goes for Boxing and March Madness..

To me it seems that EA only cares about paying shareholder profits and Monopolizing the Sports Gaming Market by trying to get exclusive league rights. Kudos to the NBA for not taking the dough and allowing other production companies to make NBA games such as the Life and 2K.

IMO Live is a glorified NBA Jam

The game plays just fine to me. It's funny how that happens.

yea you really are dreaming if you think they will make it better in hte ps3 version, especially considering that only 400k ps3s will be out at release. lets just assume that only 1 out of every 2 ps3 owners buy live at release that means only 200k units of live is sold... sorry thats a waste of EA's money to make live better to be able to sell that many copies.

They are talking about the PC version, which a few serious bugs.

ps3 uses a disc format that holds about 4 times as much as a DVD that xbox 360 uses so it is feasible to put more realistic textures on the game. however i highly doubt that you will see a diffrence between any multiplatform games until a couple of years from now.

from a technical standpoint the ps3 is more capable and powerful the then 360 however not by an extremely significant margin. it wont be night and day but eventually ps3 will look slightly better as far as exclusive games go and certain other titles.

i dont understand why you guys said that 2k usually favors xbox. if its from a graphical standpoint you have to understand that towards the end of those consoles life cycles the xbox's extra power became noticable. most games looked better on xbox at that point but i highly doubt it was due to any type of favor by 2k. i expect these games to look extremely similar on both consoles.

the only diffrence is that i expect them to use the motion sensing capabilities of the ps3 in some way shape or form.

do not expect nba live to be substantially better on ps3 from the xbox 360 version aside from possibly fixing any obvious bugs or glitches.
