Anyone find it hard to shoot mid-range jumpers?

I cannot shoot mid-range jumpers for the life of me. Every game I am shooting like 25 to 30 percent. I have tried increasing the sliders, but when I do that I shoot an insane 75%. Anyone have any pointers to help?

Just use PM's Superstar Sliders and practice the timing/release of your jumpshot(s).

The shot releases are really quick, I had to get used to it after playing 2k7.

I actually got better. My release was just off. They are really quick. Now I am thinking about lowering the shot sliders because now I am too good at it. I play both games and it was hard to adjust after playing 2k7. I am really enjoying both games. I find myself playing Live more because I feel like it is something different. 2K7 is a really great game but it just feels like last year's game with new animations.

BINGO! I feel the exact same way man. 2K7 keels like the previous 4-5 2K NBA games with a few added stuff thrown in. Live 07 definitely has a Next Gen type of feel to it and kudos to EA Sports for taking a risk and starting from scratch instead of taking the BORING 2K route. Live 07 > 2K7

Yeah once you get the hang of shooting the sliders will need to come down. I set them really high right now because iniatially shooting is going to be tough on some people if you don't get the release point right.

But once you get the hang of it the shooting sliders need to go down. I'm starting to hit 3's with Devin Harrs and that's not going to happen in a real game too often. I have Long Range and MId Range at 60 but honestly that is way too high once you get shooting down.

I would take that anyday of that crapfest EA put out.......Why change something that is not broken? Their way of doing things seems a lot better than EA's broken games they release.

So basically you're content that 2K released a current-gen NBA game for the 360 and charged you $60 for it?

I love to drive middle from free throw line extended (3 point line) and pull up at the elbow for the jumper.

Jumpers are actually fairly well designed in this game, my release point is shortly before or right at the apex of the jump.

Nope. I have BOTH games and like each of them for different reasons. I don't work for or pull a paycheck from either EA or 2K so I could care less about any "flame war." I enjoy playing Live 07 and 2K7. Is this not possible?
