Re: NBA Live 08: Hot Spots
Nice read. I really don't know what to think about having the color graph on the court during gameplay. I would rather have this as part of the game stats screen when you are viewing stats during games. It just seems kinda odd to have this graph come up in the middle of a possesion IMO.
Anyways say what you want about the Live series but, the court spacing and the actual player to court size ratio is "perfect" as seen in these vids.
I really love how large the floors seem to be and the players space the floor so nice. This series has the best floor spacing I have seen in a bball title.
Hopefully, we will get more GAMEPLAY impressions next week at E3. Nice to see a 2-3 zone being played also in these clips.Comment

Just my personal take. This is the goofiest thing I have ever seen on a so-called sim B-ball game. More gimmicks from what I see. Peace!!!!The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: NBA Live 08: Hot Spots
, Hot Spots are a visual feature. On offense, you can hold down the Left Bumper or L1 to see a color-coded guide to a ball handler's strengths and weaknesses on the court. Depending on the player, you'll see patches of purple for cold zones, red for hot spots and yellow for moderate areas.
Nail in the coffin for this series.
I'm so disgusted, I can't even comment.
That is EXACTLY what I called this when I first heard about these Go To Moves and Hot Spots. I called it cheese, people called me crazy. This is utterly disgusting.
I'm done.Comment

Re: NBA Live 08: Hot Spots
This is not the greatest idea. I mean the guys are literally at their spots just dribbling away with a defender in their face and you're telling me they get a free shot because it's their "hot spot"? Guys like Bowen wait in the corner and shoot when they're open, this system sounds like a good idea but the way it's approached is wrong.Comment

Re: NBA Live 08: Hot Spots
I like the idea. Not really worried about how its shown in the vids. The player has to have the ball to show his hot spots. Therefore, the players had to dribble in there hot spots. Next, this was not a long video, so they had to shoot. Of course, they are going to make it. Who wants to see a trailer full of players missing shots.Comment

Re: NBA Live 08: Hot Spots
So because Bowen was in his hot spot he his the shot with a man in his face? Bowen hardly ever shoots off the dribble. Second he was out of bounds in the vid lol. His foot was on the line. Online is gonna be ugly.Comment

lol samething i thought "He's heating up.." lol wow Live is dying more and more each year. That was just bad and looked cheesy. Just fix the game EA if you even can at this point. The movement still looks so robotic
