How has EA kept you interested in In Live on the next gen consoles?

For me it would have to be the developer blogs found on IGN. Especially this year because it really seems like their actually trying to create some new innovative ideas that may make NBA Live 08 a pretty good game.

Yeah, the blogs have helped but more than anything seeing actual gameplay footage shows that they are confident that Live08 will be a good game. I'm not completely sold yet but, I'm almost there.

I would probably need to see 'extensive' gameplay footage to really be excited about purchasing Live again, which we will probably see right after Madden drops.

Another huge thing that has me interested about Live08 is that the full Demo is supposed to be out almost a month before release. Now that's confidence in your product. Putting the game out there for the public to actually play, is a huge statement that may be pretty good proof that this franchise is indeed back.

probably the overal look of the game and its atmosphere with the large crowds and arenas. it has a next gen look from the start of the game, although it played like a nintendo game. heh it can only get better tho so i'll always be getting it along with every other sports game out

The biggest things for me is a realistic simulation of basketball and getting rid of the skip/hop-dribble animation.

It sounds stupid but that animation killed the playing experience for me. I just couldn't stand it. It's now gone and with the addition of other more realistic animations I'm happy with the graphic direction of the game.

If the Go-To Moves or whatever they are called makes the game more realistic then I'll purchase my first copy of Live since 2001.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

being down for the count for the past few seasons and now being the underdog as far as product quality and corporate culture are concerned and not in terms of the marketing budget
