                You know, in the interest of selling games, and winning back a disappointed fan base, that probably would have been a good idea. If you were EA, wouldn't you want your potential customers downloading your demo and playing it on their day off?

                    Are you serious? You think a holiday weekend is a poor time to release a video game demo? Maybe you should do a little thinking about marketing.

                    I wonder if you also think that a movie would never be released on a holiday weekend.

                        I don´t know, they have a huge PR budget to convince people. Last years game was not good, not good at all. THey have to step up HUGE if they are going to redeem themselfs.

                            Someone at MS has to be there to upload the demo and no one is working at MS this wknd or today. Also MS doesnt upload demos on wknds.

                                not necessarily true. It is rare but the latest example I can think of was the Bioshock demo which came out on a Sunday evening.

                                    Thats extremely rare. There are over 100 demos on Live and thats the only one I've ever heard of being released on a Sunday. Also there is a big difference between a highly anticipated game like Bioshock and a yearly sports game like Live 08.

                                        It's Labor Day Weekend.

                                        Most people are away somewhere during this weekend.

                                        I'd wager that the people at EA and Microsoft don't want to release a demo that won't have the download numbers they can get by releasing it tomorrow or Wednesday.

                                        Yes, a lot of people are off today. But a lot of people are also not around their 360 to download the game.

                                        Just doesn't make sense to do it today.

                                            Do people honestly think it would be released today?

                                            "Yeah, it's Labor Day and all of America has the day off. But you know what... we really need to release this demo because no one will buy our game if we don't."

                                            Be realistic... whether or not the demo comes out today, tomorrow or next week, the only thing the demo is going to do is sell you on the game. Most people have already decided not to buy the game anyway.

                                            And as long as the demo is playable and released before the game does, it'll make you want the game. That can happen any day before release. That's all that matters.
