Started Playing Live Again....

With NBA Live 08 coming out, I began playing Live again....

I will admit I'm doing it to get achievement points. But in the process, I've found alot of things I like about the game.

Being a little bias in the past, I've overlooked alot of things about it.....

For 1.....NBA Live 06 had better player models and faces.....NBA Live 07 plays a hellavu lot better with playmakers sliders, its actually fun to play, and still frustrating at times, but nowhere near out the box.

I love the commentary and insight in Live 07...its the best I've heard in a NBA game period.

I love the player intros. I'm actually working on creating 08 rosters for Live 07, even though I doubt anyone plays it at all or anymore...

But the create-a-player and edit a player is one of the best I've ever seen......

Just simply amazing creating these rookies. I don't know the limits yet, because I'm still creating them...but the detail you can put into them is amazing...I'll post pics later this week, just to show you the amazing detail and how uncanny some of the models can look....
But I've been so bias, since Live 05 which was the best one to me....That I overlooked 06, and 07. But now I'm glad I'm playing them....I miss have 2 NBA games, and I know Live might not be up to 2k standards in gameplay, but there is alot that 2k can learn from EA as far as features and NBA presentation....especially when creating a CAP and the announcer is actually saying his name. A NBA database of names....

Overall, I'm playing Live again...and it makes me look forward to Live 08's Demo....

co sign, live 07 is probably the worst bball game i;ve ever played, if it actually played like if they were on earth and not on the moon it probably would of been better

No matter how you adjust Live 07, it's still virtually unplayable. There's no flow or anything. A true basketball fan would have a problem getting a good experience from that game as soon as the ball is tipped off. I'm a fan of both series and have no bias at all towards either one, but I can't understand for the life of me how some people can say that Live 07 really wasn't that bad. Not every single thing about the game was horrible but as a whole, it was the worst-playing basketball video game I have ever played, and I go back like most guys to Lakers vs Celtics.

As far as the create-a-player feature, there was a few good things about it, but I am an african american male who still can't create myself because they don't even have a dark, low cut for black guys. I either have to pick a bald head, a low boy (almost bald), a messed up afro, or corn rows that look like Sir Smoke A Lot's from "Half Baked". But to each his own.

I really do hope that Live 08 is a more than solid title so I can have 2 good basketball games this year.

Well the sliders make it very playable...but also very frustrating...due to frame rate and ******** A.I. (running out of bounds, jumping out of bounds after rebounding) just stupid stuff....one thing about this game is, I'm trying my best to get all the achievements...because I can't get myself to finish a full season of it....it hurts me just to play a few games...and hella frustrating..

I've probably completed about 10 games out of around 200 restarted ones.....

Its playable with the adjustments..but its not fun...missing easy layups and jumpshots just pisses me off....but they do make the player models move better....play better no...move better yes....

Hi I'm tomba321 I helped playmakers with this game as far as the framerate issue in it


What you do is darken the crowd with the brighness level in the game and the game gets better then you just adjust the camera so you see more of the floor

it works and it makes it playable

How does that fix all of the horrible animations? Even it the game ran smoother, you still have the same high-arching close shots, herky jerky moves, weird layups, rim blocked dunks, people and the the ball going out of bounds, etc.

it doesn't but it makes it better for those wanting to enjoy it thats all

live does a good job of being a sim if basketball were played with out gravity
