Isn't the team rating based upon the talent and not by wins and losses?

Yeah it is based upon the talent on the team so even with that logic the Spurs should be number 1 because in real life the players on their team as a whole are better than the top 3 teams EA has listed.

lebron just took the cavs to the finals...u damn right he deserves a 96...cmon man...he had a helluva post season...lets not forget how he scorched the pistons. Nobody ever thought he and the cavs would beat the pistons and make it to the finals...

To me a 95 or higher in NBA Live should only go to players that have proven to be a great players on both ends of the floor. And to me the only two players that have done and they are Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant. Now Kobe hasn't been playing the greatest defense these past few years but, I think that stems from playing on a team that plays horrible defense as a whole. Plus Lebrons Mid range and 3 point game isn't nearly as good as Kobe's and neither is his defense.

haha, the team that had the 4th best record in the east last year is ranked the 3rd worst in the conference this year.

The Atlantic Division Champs return with the same team plus Kapono and Delfino, and are ranked 28th in the league. Makes sense.

I don't know why sites even bother posting these ratings anyway.

Individual ratings are where it's at and Live has had a decent rating system since they went back to the 0-99 scale.

yeah Live's rating system is one of the best I've ever seen, when creating characters especially...all the sliders are insane...for all the positions and focus points.

I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. Maybe for normal scorers that could be true but Lebron can completely change games by himself and he isn't as bad on defense as people make it out to be.

Lebron James skill level is not worth a 95....He is a talented player with tremendous athletic ability and size unrivaled at the NBA level. But, Kobe is the best offensive player in the league and constantly is NBA 1st Team Defense...So he should have the advantage in Off Awr/Def Awr/Midrange/3pt/Steal/...should i continue...the only thing Lebron is superior is his willingness to pass the ball....This rating comess from EA not wanting to alienate all the LeBron Fans..

Hella post season....horrible finals...definitely showed his flaws against a Western Power House..Dominated east teams with no inside d...Lebron is one of the good players in the league but lacks polish and skills. Right now, he is just size and athleticism.

To continue, most of those East teams were gymped before the playoffs started. The Nets would have made the finals if there was a center in the paint. Nenad got injured. Pistons were a no-show when they had to get a crippled player to get them interested in playing the game again. They have no heart. Cavs also beat up on a team that didn't have it's right leg and right arm. We'll see how far the Cavs go when this season starts off and everyone has had rest. Lebron is way to high.

On another note, these numbers are horrible. If Gilbert is as good as Nash and better than Kidd, someone needs to re-evaluate their purpose in the game of basketball in any capacity. Show me where Gilbert was better than Kidd overall please. I could careless what anyone would think but these ratings are horrible. How the heck did Channing Frye sneak on the list? There aren't any other PF better than he is? Too much I see that don't make sense to me. I'm a fan, not a fool.......

Mo Williams, with 17.3/4.8/6.1 is not in the top 20, but guys like Ray Felton (14/3.4/7.0), Jameer Nelson (14.3/3.0/3.3), and Damon Fricking Stoudamire (7.5/2.2/4.8) are?

                          Nice call EA.

                            15. Raymond Felton: 77
                            17. Mike James: 76
                            19. Michael Conley: 75
                            20. Damon Stoudamire: 74

I was just wondering do you guys think Daniel Gibson is in the game?
