I hope Live 08 has a solution to this cheese...

Whenever I play previous versions of Live with my friend, he always guards the inbound passes (both from baselines and sidelines) by either manually pressing or double teaming, jamming on the steal button while taking advantage of my CPU teammates not helping out on the inbound. That issue was fixed in Live 06 (PS2) when I could manually designate and control another player to come help out on the inbound. When I played the 08 demo, I couldn't find a way to take control of another teammate other than the point guard (by default) to receive the inbound. When I do use the RB button (360) to bring up the players icons, instead of being able to switch to the player I want to control and manually move him toward the baseline, the ball automatically inbounds to the player as soon as I press his icon, when he's already at the other half of the court. Can anyone help me out with a solution? My friend does this all game. Common sense (plus most of you) would tell me not to play him anymore, I just want to beat him a dozen times in Live for pride sake.

I noticed the same thing and I couldn't figure it out. I hope that it's something that will be addressed before it come out.

One can only hope that the steal button is not as effective. Also, the only solution I could think of is to run my default inbound receiver horizontally along the baseline, baiting him to get in front of my player to go for the steal, then I would make a vertical dash up the court so I can just lob the pass to him, over the defender's head. I wouldn't know what to do if he uses double-team though.
