Side by side impressions Nba live 08 Ps3/xbox 360

I went through the impressions thread but didnt see a impressions from people that have both game downloads. So heres the short of it.

Gameplay
Ps3 is slightly easier to control, I can pull off goto moves better then on 360, it is just more responsive. Also I think just because it is a demo it was very laggy in some spots. 360 no lag at all. Transition animations I think are better in the PS3, no jet packing as I call it from a dribble to a lay up all seems effortless compared to the 360 where it seems that they all of a sudden pick up speed for akward animations. Ball rim physics on ps3 is better to me no odd ball rim kickoffs.

Visually
Got to to go with the 360 on the Ps3 the crowd after the first few rows are fine but the rest of the crowd has NO FACE. Also there were some jaggys but I think it is do to this not being a complte build. Dang and this is with a hdmi cord for the PS3 and none for the xbox.

Overall I am gonna say that the 360 has the edge Visually and PS3 gameplay just because I can pull of the Goto moves easier, I am getting this for my ps3 tho ( to justify the purchase of it ).

I'm grabbing live 08 for ps3 as well. I have no games right now for the system.

i'm glad i'm not the only one having a hard time trying to find a game for PS3. i was hoping madden would be my first but not at 30 fps.

very true.

the PS3 animations look a fair bit smoother imo.

however...there's a definite random "slowdown" issue that needs to be fixed before release or else this version is going to be hammered by people who buy it.

True, I wanted to get this game for the PS3 on release but if the slow down makes it to the retail version..I would be a pissed customer. Hopefully, someone can confirm that this a demo isolated incident.

The slow down only happens with the PS3 demo only on the 2nd, 3rd game. It never slows down on the 1st game.

So, it might just be a demo problem. Dont forget that the 360 demos boots you out after the 1st game, so it coud've very well of happened on that demo as well.
