Well, live was good in '04. Ever since they got the dunk contest, it has went downhill. Which is why people thought the same with 2k seeing that the dunk contest would take too much development time away from the 5-in-5 game. As you can see, it didn't
But live 04 with vince carter was the ish man. I loved that game. My friend let me borrowed it. I didn't give it back until like after a month. I was supposed to give it back the next day haha.
05 sucked because like I said, I felt the gameplay wasn't really focused on. Live 06 was ok, but nothing to pay full price on. The abusive "freestyle" sucked. It felt like a glitch to me. Especially the "shooter" and "scorer" freestyle. Whenever I used it and I missed, I felt shocked.
07 just sucked. No explanation. No words for it. Even ea agreed when they didn't realease it on ps3.
Live 08. Don't know yet, but I'll check it out.
to me, none of these games(maybe nba live 04 VC BABY) was not even worth the full price that way marketed as. 06 was choppy then ever. It was like I was playing an dial up game online, but I was offline. I wasn't pissed about it though. I think it was the camera angle? oh well.
I still got hopes for this franchise, but sadly, it's on the backburner burning and I just don't know when I'm going to turn that burner off. this year? Hope so, but probably not. I will give them the benefit of the doubt though. I will try the full product and not the demo to actually evaluate the game.
