EA should stop putting the team logo transition every 2 seconds, it's so annoying!!! It's been there since Live 04 and they haven't changed it! EA, will u ever stop this?!

Sorry, but there really isn't even a debate on which game is a better basketball game. As it appears now, 2K8 will not only be the best basketball game, but the best sports title to date.

I disagree. I think Live is better than 2K8. Obviously have both demos and 2K8 is just boring to me. Can't stop playing Live.

I think that game although not as popular as Live or 2K basketball is arguably the best sports games this year IMO.

That's a pretty bold statement when 2k has dominated live in the past. I'd wait to compare the real discs instead a pair of demos.

I was a live fan all the way till 2006, mostly on PC. Every year, Live has messed horribly with the gameplay.

I started playing 2k7 last year and never looked back. Live will have to walk on water for me to consider.

That's doesn't mean live hasn't made improvement, but they still have a long way to catch up to 2k in realism.

I was leaning towards live but after playing both for most of today iIthink I'm going to roll with 2K. The Live players move a lil better and the dribble animations are nice but Ive been past that stage since the seventh grade. So I think I'm going to get 2k but I'm a fickle type cat so who knows live might take the lead before I'm done typing this

Plus 2k has Dru Goodens shag gotta love it

I noticed a couple of things while playing the demo.

Rebounds sometimes fall to the ground when 2-3 people are around the basket. I don't know why this happens, but it does.

Crowd doesn't seem to get into the game. Crowd seems like they aren't basketball fans and don't know what to cheer at.

Sig shots/player feel. This could just be me, but while playing with certain players it didn't feel like them. I think this is my biggest gripe. The other things I can handle.

I do like a lot of things about the game and will probably end up getting the game a month or two after it is released.

something i noticed today that made me a little more hesitant to buy Live is that while in player lock mode (Larry Hughes) and calling a quick play my teammates wouldn't execute the play (pick and roll). i was the cavs, and while gooden came to set the pick, gibson use it but instead put up a jumper. this happened more than once and it makes me wonder if the AI is improved from last years. i play with player lock on because i like to see picks and screens run and good spacing as the players work to get open instead of one on one scoring all the time. has anybody else played with player lock and had a different experience?

That's absurd. I love Madden 08 and Fifa, but I honestly admit I HATE next-gen Live basketball. you might think live 08 is fun, well i think it is not even close in a.i, responsiveness, and a ton of other import gameplay issues that just make a game "feel" good compared to 2k8, and even 2k7
