    NBA Live 08 Controls

To be honest with you, I never really picked up Live 07, because I heard it was awful and I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how controls for 08 may be mapped out?

Like what does the right analog do etc? I know I read there are two buttons for jumpers and dunks, so I could map those to the triggers...

Just wondering what other buttons and analogs will get used for? If anyone even knows...

    thanks

The right analog does crossovers and stuff, "quick-strike ballhandling." In the demo they had the two buttons for dunk/layup and jumpshot but I heard that they were taking it out, maybe it's just an option.

They aren't merging the dunk/layup button together like on 2K ruffryder there just going to keep the shooting and dunk/layup controls seperate.

Was it pretty easy to use? I do like the ideas of the separate buttons so we have the choice to shoot or dunk/layup

Yea it's easy to use. The quick strike ballhandling is a little more difficult that the original freestyle control, but imo it's easier to get the hang of than NBA 2k8. The seperate shot, dunk/layup button is a great feature so you don't have guys pulling up for fadeaways under the basket or be out on a solo break and end up taking a 5 foot jumpshot instead of a dunk.

I think if you're looking for an easy control scheme then this is your game. But if you want more depth, than that would be 2k8. 2k8's controls are harder to use, but the animations are better and once you get the hang of it it seems like there's endless combinations. But there's guys who played 2k7 all the way through and still haven't mastered the isomotion. And sometimes it feels like you get locked into animations or don't have full control over your players moves.

But if you're a dedicated Live fan, or a casual gamer, or you just want to pick up and play and have fun along with superb graphics, Live is probably your game.
