Borrowed the game from a friend who bought it at Target. He wasn't too impressed so he let me hold it because he is a 2K fanboy.
I started making roster edits and putting FA's on the correct teams. I then started up my 76ers Dynasty. Since I had to sign Calvin Booth to the sixers from the default FA pool he was on my list of players leaving or whatever it's called (in the dynasty menus). Under "yrs. remaining" there was a "0". Since Igoudala is a FA after this season his yrs remaining was a "1". Booth's was a "0". I think that it was due to Booth being waived by his old team, and that being the case for all of the players in the FA pool who I added to a team's roster (There was somekind of pop-up message talking about him being waived by his old team). I guess that the concept is since they were "WAIVED" by another team they do not count against your CAP. Again, every FA who I added to a roster pre-dynasty had "0" yrs remaining at this menu in Dynasty.
Here's the glitch though...At the end of the season when I went to re-sign players I signed all of the players previously under contract, but when I tapped "a" to begin negotiations w/ Booth and have the game take me to the next screen the game froze up. Couldn't even hit the guide button during this freeze. I had to turn off the 360 and re-boot. I tried again 2 more times to sign Booth and both times the game froze up. After the third time I opted not to touch Booth and moved onto the FA signings part of the offseason. I was pleased to see that the CPU was able to get these FA's who I added to there team off their roster if they choosed. One of my fears was that since Booth had 0 yrs remaining he would somehow never jump off my roster. That is what lead me to sim the season, and see what happend at the "re-signing" portion of the offseason (and thus found the freeze issue).
The players added to a teams roster pre-dynasty do go back into the FA pool. I didn't try to re-sign Booth w/ him in the FA pool, but I think that if I did it would not freeze again. I was able to start negotiations w/ other players during the offseasons FA-signings w/ no problems.
I will try and narrow this down to whether or not it only occurs for players added to a team prior to starting a dynasty. It would REALLY SUCK if this happend for any player you signed from the FA pool after there contract was up. You would have to let them be released, and then let other teams in on signing them. That would really suck if you signed a premier player who would get a lot of interest from a lot of different teams.
