NBA LIVE 09 Community Project

Alright guys, I'm currently working on a plan to bring about 6 guys to our EA Canada studio to spend some time with our dev team, and really get deep into planning for NBA LIVE 09.

Please pm me your contact information if you'd like to attend. There are NO guarantees that you will be chosen, but this is the first (and only for a while) place that I've posted this in.

Travel, food, and hotel will all be paid for. We just want your thoughts. Tell me WHY you should be chosen to attend this. Are you the most hardcore basketball fan and LIVE is simply not doing it right? Then let us bring you up here and hear your ideas.

Now's your chance guys. We have Community Events every year where people say we bring already known fans of the game in. This is an opportunity to show us your basketball and games knowledge for EA to see.

This is a VERY vocal and proud community. Show us what you think we should do.

I simply would like to see you guys add old school teams such as 96 bulls, 87 lakers, etc... in season play. get Jordan, Bird, magic in the mix. Put all of MJ coolest moves, birds long range bombs, etc.. game animations need increasing. add more teams and have secret teams to unlock. Jordan vs. Bird was an awesome game. Go back to your roots!!! one on one games and two on two games are fun. Have the announcers put more emotion in calling the game during close games. If a shot is taken at the end of the game with a chance to win or tie, have that shot in slow motion with high drama music. Just a few ideas...peace

Thats gonna cost EA so much in the rights alone to have MJ in the game they won't be able to afford anyone else.

Stephen i think you guys are on the right track,its just the little things like not being able to edit a players "gear" that really upsets gamers because its something thats so basic but is a huge part of what we like to do. I would love to travel to EA but i live in Australia :-( (i'll go ya halves!! hahahaha)

It's just so they can make a fancy video of you and someother gamer to post on XBL weeks before release in an attempt to create hype and advertise the game w/ "hand-picked" consumers praising a job well done by the EA developers. I would like to try and remain optimistic, but I can't. I've got Live and 2K8. 2K8 is the epitome of basketball video games. This is coming from a once EA/Live diehard.

What kind of "hardwork" is being done if I can have the game for less an hour and already spot bugs and glitches.

I DL'd the video off XBL w/ those two gamers testing out Live w/ the developers. What a bunch of crap. Count me out.

Wow, thats a good step in the right direction right there. Bringing basketball enthusiasts and purists will do a lot more than bringing in those NBA Live Challenge cheesers or whatever they were.

Why don't you choose one of the guys here stephensonmc.

I'd reccommend golden state warrior since he knows the game industry and how you guys work on game cycles ins and outs.

Would love to go myself but I doubt my schedule will permit, plus im using all of my vacation right now

So yeah, I announced this yesterday and I only have 8 pm's in my box. That tells me that although we have very vocal people here, they don't want to bring those same vocal chords to speak the same stuff on these boards to our dev team.

As selfish as I would like to be and be a part of this, the one person who is a must go candidate is Playmaker. If EA is serious about really improving this game there is no one more qualified IMO than Playmaker. He has made this game enjoyable for thousands and I'm sure many will agree that he has saved numerous other EA titles for us Gamers. Just my recommendation.
