Lock-D Switch

I have only played the demo and am considering purchasing the game. In the demo if you use the Lock-D button and the CPU passes to another player then you automatically switch to that defender. Can this be turned off so that you remain the original defender?

no

but if you simply let go of LT, (lock D button) then you can manually switch instead.

after a while it gets pretty intuitive to go back and forth and I find myself only using Lock d in certain situations when I am trying to stop a drive to the lane, etc.
