These aren't glitches at all.

It's poor collision detection.

This is just the start of a long list of things that needs to be updated with this series. Although if collision were improved you would see an immense jump in quality.

To be fair, the next-gen version isn't as bad as the current gen version, what we see on display here. They're pretty much just pumping out that version to rake in on the license, as they quit making a good game after Live '06.
