    EA's Crazy Sim Engine..

Geez...what's with EA and their sim engines for their games.. Through 24 games..Steve Nash and AI are tied for the scoring lead at 32 PPG. Nash also leads the assists. 32ppg and 9 assists. Not a bad season eh?

There are about a half dozen guys averaging over 30ppg....and another dozen averaging between 27-29.

Lamar Odom has a stat line straight out of Scottie Pippen's prime: 26 pts, 6 rebounds, 6 assists.

Jay Will is averaging 20 PPG.

Weird CPU Player Rotations. I played a game were Emeka Okafor came off the bench. He got a normal amount of minutes, but it was still strange. Weird stuff.

At least i havent seen any crazy trades. Last year, The Mavs traded Dirk straight up for Mike Bibby.

It's not supposed to be a sim game, it's an arcadish game - so enjoy it that way. Live's focus has always been on the offense.
    My Specs:

    ZX Spectrum
    CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
    GPU: Monochrome display

Oh I understand that, It is just weird to see. It's odd..when you play the game the stats are pretty accurate even though you spent the game dunking and fast breaking alot.

AI leading the league in scoring isn't unreal. I do agree in regards to Nash scoring avg it should be lower but I've seen Nash avg 30+ ppg in playoff series. The Lamar Odom stat's you posted aren't that unrealistic either because Odom has that type of versatile game the problem is he doesn't always play up to his skill level.

well of course Ai has done that before..the point was more the sheer volume of players putting up obscene scoring numbers.disagree completely about odom. He's never put up numbers remotely close to the stat line he is putting up in the 24 games I have played so far.

i'm not disagreeing with you that some of the sim stats are flawed. i'm just stating odom plays more like a point forward and i can see those stats being realistic for him if odom ever decides to play up to his potential of course.

If you think the 360 Live simengine is bad, you should see the PS2/PC Live simengine.

                      Scoring leaders average 40 ppg.
Players shoot a very high 3 point percentage with many of those players not being 3pt shooters at all.
Rebound leaders rarely get above 7 per/g.
Blocks and steal leaders are rarely more than 1 per/g for each leader.
You don't even want to know about the assist leaders.
