I like the direction live is going but why is so easy to get to the hoop and score all the time. It's like in all there videos ive seen on the internet, it's drive and dunk, drive and dunk, pick and roll dunk. Dunk, Dunk, Dunk. It's seems fatigue is not an issue. The last thing that is driving me crazy but definitely not a biggie like the dunk fest is every time someone scores in almost always all net, hardly any rims physics. I haven't purchased live in a decade and I want to. But I'm not just gonna hand over 65$ just cuz.

Determining if a game is arcady via videos? C'mon man...Most people know these games are played on the easiest level where rules or fatigue don't matter. -

Hey's its NBA Live, what do you expect. When I loved playing Live when I was younger, I loved that about the game, run&gun dunk, dunk, 3pointer, dunk. Now that I'm older I hate it. NBA 2K is more sim like, even though it sometimes can get into a dunking match online. Till NBA Live devs figure out how to make it less arcady and sim like 2K, your better off playing 2K basketball,.. its that grown man basketball.Comment

You know that will never happen bro, people are gonna comment till the end of time of what they like and don't like. Now if I said I like everything about the game you wouldn't of said what you said. I'm pointing something I've noticed in all the videos I've seen. If I had the demo I'm a hear it's not the final build, of course it's not but normally what you see is what you get with Live from the previous versions. I'm saying this now while if it's not fixed it can be fixed. Honestly, 2k's threads are lighter than feathers with info.
EA has done nothing but try to inform us constantly and showing a lot of videos.
I understand that some of the people playing the game are just terrible and cheesers and some points. But seriously, this game is looking much improved over 08. I played 08 a hell of a lot. And this game looks much better in too many ways.
I read through the threads, from interviews, screenshots and constant videos. People are just finding reasons to knock this series. No matter how great the efforts are in the game. It will be a great game, I just wish people would stop trying to find faults in it before its even released.Comment

Your right you can get in a 2-3, I know the game of basketball rock, but is getting in the 2-3 on Live going to work?. I guess we can use the wait till the game drops and find out. This is just how I feel personally about what I've seen, I don't know something tells me driving will end in dunks majority of the time. I'm making my claim now so hopefully if the develpers are reading this they can check the game and make the proper adjustments to it, if it's needed, only they know what's going on right now because we don't have the game. The game could be fine, I don't know.Comment

Funny thing is, it's not very hard to find faults with NBA Live 09. Animations kill tis game, and don't say "But they have improved over 08". SO??? Thats not very hard to improve on. I want to see one solid gameplay video of sim players playing along with minor or no quirky or disgusting animations involved. It will then earn my 60 bucks. The demo can't come soon enough.Comment

I agree that judgments should be held until the demo is released. When we play it ourselves, with sim play in mind, we'll know if this game can be a simulation or not.
However...the lack of collision under the basket is worrisome. I don't remember the last time I've seen a player jump backwards to block a shot when directly under the rim. That's one of those things I don't like to see in the game period.
Another thing...the "action" during the pick and roll isn't very good looking in these vids. Hopefully in the real game it'll reflect the real life variables of the pick and roll.Comment

Any game can be "arcadey" judging on videos alone. It is the skill of the player and the difficulty setting.
