How is it not garbage? The player movements have NEVER been smooth.. the way they move is no different from the '06 demo. Every year I download the demo to have a quick laugh.

Okay guys, let's keep it civil. If you don't like the game please keep the opinions away from what could be considered trolling, please. If you can't, maybe saying nothing might be better. Thanks

Don't ever call me a "fanboy" again. Any die hard BASKETBALL fan in general could not possibly enjoy the awkward, unnatural, herky jerky movements of NBA Live. And why are you assuming I'm getting mad? LOL. I posted my opinion of the demo. Don't be so quick to throw out the "troll" and "fanboy" card.

Read what I wrote. I answered somebody's question who asked if rebounding was like 2k. And I said EA can't compare to the smooth player movements of 2k. That's my opinion. How is that trolling? I think you got it twisted.

This would be something you might wanna think about before you start defending your comments. Shall we move on please?

Just tone down the energy level a bit, man. It's fine not to like the demo. At this point, many people have chimed in with a similar opinion, but you can discuss the weaknesses of the game without saying things like "garbage" and "any basketball fan...etc".

The demo has its problems, just discuss them straight up while being respectful to the forum, and the people who made the game.

                      I just saw this

but in the other side of the basket. But it was the same move. The arms, the legs, the head, everything.

I couldn't say nothing but Woooooooooooooooowwww!

So pretty. And some serious dunks in the gym by Garnett and Tony Allen too.

Yes you did state your opinion. Now that you've done that, it makes no sense to continue to harp on the demo in this manner when everyone else has been posting their thoughts good and bad continually without taking the thread into a tailspin.

I've asked that we keep the 2k basketball stuff out of here because people are here to read NBA Live demo impressions.

If you continue to do it you're trolling at this point.

Re: NBA Live 09 Demo Released, Impressions Here

I've got mixed reactions. The animations are much better than previous years. The graphics are great as usual, players are a bit too skinny but otherwise looks phenomenal. The announcers are great too.

But I don't like the shooting and how there's no real release point, and why does every block get pounded into the ground? And other than the shooting which is very quick (maybe a little too quick) everything else, switching players, passing, and just moving around feels sluggish and unresponsive. Defenders seem really slow to get into the right position too, I've seen them just stand at half court looking stupid. In zone D they seem to stick to their zone too strictly. On one play Garnett got the ball by the basket with Gasol right next to him, but instead of guarding him Gasol started running back to the center of his zone.

Another thing I just thought would become standard is showing the play art on the court like 2k8 did. It's great for guys like me who know a little bit about basketball and want to play sim and run plays but don't exactly know what to do in every situation and don't have high basketball IQs.

And finally, could someone explain what exactly does what on the right stick? I'm kind of just pushing it around in random directions hoping something good happens.

That happens in Live 08 too but the best way to use the zones effectively is to control everyone, but still that is a bit annoying. Its like the AI has no brains at times.

Horrible footage on Pasta's part. I didn't see him call one play. He played poor defense. The turnaround 3 by Allen.

He played it so poorly. Reminds me of the old IGN 2K footage.
