Got in a couple games with the demo, very surprised at how good it is as i haven't enjoyed a Live game since 2000, and more recently the '08 demo was unplayable to me once you left the gym. Quickstrike feels much better this year, the graphics took another leap up, and theres just a solid foundation for a great game. There are, however, things that irk me to where i'd definitely hesitate to pick this game up (only need one nba game). Two things that stand out are the shotblocking (in general but especially on jumpers) and the rebounding. I feel like the former is far too easy and frequent and the latter I feel you have no control over. The playcalling is great, the pick and roll mechanic even better. Everything related to player DNA is excellent, really top notch. The game is definitely fun, but it feels like another year and it'll be ready to seriously turn heads.

Holy crap, I'm actually enjoying the demo. I been playing the PC version for the past 7 years and I must say this is great. The gameplay is smooth and now with the DNA feature, this game is going to be awesome. I could finally enjoy Basketball again.

has some really good elements in it. for the person who was talking about no banked shots, there is a KG running shot in the vid that banks high off the glass and rattles in on the rim. not bad at all. also an alley oop that get a sports center top 10 play nominee flash up. wonder whats gonna happen with that at the end of the weeks play? hopefully there is a little suprise waiting for us with that in the full version!

That alley looked really good. Also impressed with some of Kobe's moves. Can't wait to play this sucker.

Nice simple dunk on the break by Gasol. 1st Boston play of the 2nd quarter..remember Da-Czar's Constant Variable video? Good execution by the computer here, KG got deep position in the post. I didn't like the Kobe dunk on Allen though.

Kobe's shot
The amazing around-the-rim animations
Off-balance shots
dribbling animations

Dislike:
clipping issues, they are bad at times
ability for players to get to the rim and dunk that easily. hopefully it can be tuned.

So, I just got finished playing the demo.

And I really don't get why people think Live is such a bad game. The way some people talk about it, I was expecting a hell of a lot worse.

The game was extremely playable, and there wasn't anything that I noticed from the demo that made me get really agitated.

- The sig shots looked nice...Kobe and Ray looked really good IMO
- Kobe had some nice sig dunks that I preferred over whatever he had in NBA 2K8. 1 was where he just goes up one handed and dunks with authority w/ a taunt at the end. Then he did a 360. Not sure if other players can do it, but I only saw Kobe.
- Players looked pretty active on offense.
- The commentary is great.
- The graphics were good.
- Cool animations. One was where I had a guy take a shot and get fouled and he hit the floor and slid I think. It looked really sweet.

The game was fun. Plain and simple. I played it for at least a half hour.

I had some trouble with controls/crossovers. Not sure if it's the game, or me because I didn't know what the hell my man was going to do when I used the quickstrike dribbling. I'm pretty sure it is my lack of skill here.

The only thing that kind of annoyed me is all the cutscenes; nothing in real time. But, I'm sure that you can turn them off.

The blocks looked funny too. At least on blocked jumpshots.

The game didn't seem to be as jerky as people say. There is some, but again, I would have thought it would have been much worse from what people say.

I don't get how people say that Live sucks, Live is crap, or whatever. I had fun with it.

Why would you put up does highlights making me even more sad thats its not on PSN yet lol jk I loved the kobe highlight, bateman trust me I played a little bit of the demo at a friends house it's really not that easy to get to rim like last yr.

Maybe for Ps3 the demo comes out today on the Eu store? Because the EU store had problems yesterday.
