Am I "All That" or are the shot %'s too high?

While playing the demo, it seems way to easy to score. I think the only shot I missed is the half courter I threw up at the buzzer....the cpu "miss" was a shot I blocked...I had the settings on the toughest level....anyone else see the same thing?

You answered your own question. If you hit every shot except a half courter, it's obvious the FG% is too high. It's much too easy to score in this game, can dunk at will with bigs, bad shots go in far too often, and good looks area near guaranteed hit.

Despite Live's less than stellar track record, I give them the benefit of the doubt for this issue in the demo. The passing in the Madden demo was pretty broken. The direction and drops were all off. In the final game, the passing is sweet. There is a chance the same thing is going on with the shooting in the Live 09 demo, but it's definitely way too high.

Thats the whole point though, it shouldn't need a slider fix. It should play great straight out the box. Thats lazy if you ask me. "Oh we have sliders, so we won't have to deal with fixing things like high fg%."

yea but its not like its a game destroying exploit or bug.

also Beluba said the demo was a 95% complete version of Live. That last 5% will probably deal with stuff that can be easily tweaked before release like shot %. Wait until release to pass judgement.

And the effort EA put into this years Live can be described as alot of things, but lazy is not one of them.

Casual fans like to score in bunches, thus high fg percenatages out of the box, and I'm sure they'd say it plays great.

Hardcore fans like to mimic reality as best they can, thus sliders are given, and the hardcore are grateful for them (when they work).

Compared to the competition, Live's shooting %'s were way too high out of the box.

Since that's how you'll be playing the game online, it's an issue that would be alleviated if they just toned them down some by default. Doesn't even have to be too much... but I would say it most certainly would need to be addressed.

They can't. Game is pretty much done. I'm sure it's Gold in their eyes and however the final build was is probably close to the demo, considering how polished this is.

That sounds about right.

But as for changes... I'm pretty sure they're not possible at this point if they are going to make their ship date. Perhaps in a patch, if they feel it's necessary.

I urged them to lower it at the Community Day... but I guess no dice. I see how they have to try and please everyone though, and higher %'s plus sliders do that, to some extent.

Yeah thankfully sliders can fix a too high shooting percentage so that should be a temporary complaint.
