Freshness to me is having balls bounce off the rim realistically, maybe seeing some randomness in the passing game, having players actually cut a move on offense and running some semblance of a play, things like that. When was the last time you saw (in a video game) a ball roll around the rim? Or saw a bunch of guys dive after a lose ball? What about technical fouls? Ever see one of those in a video game?..once again, IMO, EA misses the target by focusing on some gimmick rather than tweaking and modifying and adding to the game play in any significant way...The demo is OK, but it leaves me chomping at the bit to see the 2K and SCEA hoops titles...
so...anyone excited about how "fresh" this game is going to be?

After siting through the demo into, it caught my attention that the commentator used the word "fresh" three times describing what looks like another EA gimmick, the DNA stuff....so my question is, are you looking for a "fresh" game play experience or a "real" game play experience. For me, I don't see the freshness in having the cpu adjust my shot percentage based on what the real life guys do in some meaningless tuesday night game in the NBA and having that translate to what I'm doing in the video game. It actually looks pretty dumb to be honest.
