Hey everyone. Its my first post here - though i knew about operation sports for some time.Tomorrow I'll get both live 09 and 2k9. I really couldn't figure where to post this but i think it should be fine.
I played both demos - read reviews about both games. I didn't bought any nba live games in 5 years or so but the demo I've played completely changed my mind. People say that 2k9 is more like a sim game but i doubt that, actually i don't get it. I started to think that i really don't know anything about basketball.
After playing 2k's demo, i felt like wow - its ray ray,pierce, gasol etc playing on my screen. It looked real - but somehow it lacked something like... the basics of basketball. My biggest complain about 2k8 was (don't have live 08) not getting any open shots and A.I of my clueless team. 2k9 improved a little but it's just not there. When i played Live demo i felt like that Celtics and Lakers are playing, not just Kobe,Ray Ray,Pierce as individuals - they just play as a team.Rondo looked like a figure from outer space but it didn't bother me. I felt like playing some real basketball after years.
I'm getting both games because i like both. I think i will stick to Live 09 more then 2K, because it feels more like team basketball.
