Live 365 - This should clarify the confusion about Pricing and such...

We’ve heard that there’s some confusion around NBA LIVE 365. I wanted to let you know that if you buy the game NEW, you’ll have a card in the case with a special code on it. That code is specific to your Gamertag / PSN name and gives you NBA LIVE 365 FREE all season long (starting October 27th).

For those who do not purchase NBA LIVE 09 NEW, we’ve made it easy for you to get NBA LIVE 365. On both the XBOX 360 and the PS3, NBA LIVE 365 retails for 9.99. This can be purchased via the XBOX LIVE Marketplace or the Playstation Store. Currently, the price listing is correct on the XBOX LIVE Marketplace, but it’s incorrectly marked 19.99 on the Playstation Store. We’re working to get this corrected as soon as possible, but rest assured, the price is 9.99! We hope you enjoy NBA LIVE 09 made fresh daily all season long!

Also the updates are for the rosters available in Exhibition mode only. As the season continues, you can take any roster update with rating and tendency changes and start a new Dynasty with these updated roster from the beginning.

Props to EA. Charging $20 for this feature was unreasonable IMO. However $10 sounds fair.

I am in agreement with you, man. When I saw that $20 on PSN, it made me rethink my rented copy of Live 09. I've been having fun with my first Live game in years - but that would have been WAY too much money for rentals and pre-owned players to get in the game. Ten bucks makes it a whole lot easier to handle.

Yeah I was the same way. I saw it on XBL for 800 points. My rental came the next day and I bought 365. I like it so far. I never complained about buying it, I just didn't like the price.

I have a question. I'm new to the PS3, so bear with me.

I'm sharing my PS3 with my younger brother, and therefore we have two user accounts on the system. Also, we have two separate PSN IDs/accounts. Since the Live 365 code is specific to the PSN name, does it mean that only one of us can get the updates?

And supposing I download the update, if my brother plays Live in his PS3 user account, will his game also be updated?
