    CPU Roster Control = Broken

Ok so when you start a new season or franchise I see that you have the choice to turn CPU roster control on or off.

I did some experimentation and it seems that basically what this is just another name for "Force Trades - Yes/No".

So why do I say this is broken? Well let's say Kobe got traded to the Bulls tomorrow. Kobe should now be the starting SG in Chicago right? Nope .... while you can move Kobe on to the Bulls roster by forcing the trade through, you have absolutely no control over the the CPU team rotations. So basically Kobe would be on the Bulls and come off the bench.

Now this would have been a cool way to allow users to mimic what happens in real life with trades, injuries and such. And it's especially cool that you can edit players so in theory if Beasley became a top 5 PF in the league, you can go in and edit his attributes. But if you cannot change the CPU team's rotations, I cannot see how this helps.

Great idea in principal - but very poorly executed in my opinion. Would be nice if this could be changed in a patch but somehow I doubt it.

Really sucks how each NBA game has something that I like, but having full control over CPU rosters is something that has been lacking for many seasons now. I mean how hard is this to implement?

Re: CPU Roster Control = Broken

Ok seems if you change the "Roster Management" to auto this sort of corrects the issue. I saw that Kobe got moved to the Bulls starting SF since they had Hughes and SG and traded Deng to the Bulls.

But it's still unfortunate that we cannot change the CPU rotations Maybe the Bulls would have Hughes coming off the bench, or starting at PG or something ... but it seems that you're stuck with whatever the auto roster management leaves it as.

Would have been awsome if NBA Live was like Madden where you can just take control of all the teams in the league and edit rosters and rotations to your hearts content.

The other issue I never brought up is that you cannot turn off CPU trading or free agent pick ups. So even if you do your best to keep rosters consistent with the real NBA, the CPU might go off on it's own and make weird trades or pickups.
