although i find it strange that someone could produce a game and not know its details or be able to find it out i'll laught that one off....

but with all the hardcore bball guys on this board and none of us have heard of "sink or swim whatever" leads me to ask HOW and WHY would EA name a slider in a bball game a name that no one knows and use a term thats not a basketball term...

with madden, fifa and somewhat live being medicore i WISH i could wake up tomorrow and not feel the urge to ever play sports games ....

i've seen sliders created elsewhere that state exactly what sink or swim slider means

it effects the ability of post players on on offense and defense to establish posistion. set it higher and they'll battle to establish low post posistion harder. set it lower and they don't fight as hard down low.

think of it this way if a player has good position down low on offense sometimes the defender uses what is a called a swim move to try and get in front of the offensive player to deny him the ball or vice versa the offensive player uses a swim move to try and get around a defender in the post so he can recieve the entry pass better.

You guys are a bit rough about these sliders aren't you ? I mean to expect someone to know everything about every area of a game they just started working on is a bit rough imho... no need to practically call the man a liar.

How about a cheer for him just no pulling something out his @SS and wanted to get you quality info..

I don't expect stephensonic to know the every detail about the settings and I would NEVER label or call him a "liar" (he's been very informative on these boards and I've expressed my gratitude to him before).....however I don't think it's that difficult to shoot an email to someone on the Live 09 "team" who would have the answers. I might be wrong, but that's how I feel.

Regardless, what a STUPID slider name/term. I've been watching the NBA for almost 28 years now and not one time have I ever heard anyone (announcers, players, coaches, analysts, media experts, etc) mention "Sink or Swim." NEVER!

I find it amusing that the brains behind NBA Live 09 would use a term in their game that has ZERO relevance to the sport and product they are promoting.

I have not heard of sink but swim moves are used to get better post/rebounding position in basketball. Have no idea where they got sink from.
