Wanna stop some of the interior CPU scoring?

Mix in a lot of zone (especially 2-3) throughout the game.
    Seriously.
If the game detects you're giving the cpu nothing but man all game, they'll abuse the paint.
Mix 2-3, 3-2, 1-3-1 with your straight up man D ... and watch the CPU suddenly discover perimeter shooting.
Never stay static on D. Mix it up.

I know some of you will say perimeter teams will torch you outside if you use too much zone, but stopping perimeter shots manually is easier than stopping in the paint shots ... so let your zone D handle the paint, you handle the perimeter stuff manually.

This really helped me out Dave I was able to play some really good D by doing this.

On bad teams like the T'wolves and Pacers I had them shooting 40%. But when I went up against the Magic I was able to force them to shoot 47%.

Definitely has cut down on the inside shots and really breaks up the CPU's offense.

This was a great tip. It really does help, and forces the AI to mix it up.

I only play with the Grizzlies on the game. They are undersized and underimpressive but very very quick. I play a LOT of 2-3 Trap and it works out pretty well. The double teams might tend to be a little cheap but with the 2-3 Trap it makes the player play more realistic ball and move the ball around. You also force some bad passes having the person try to lob it across the floor to the open man
