The answer is NO. DNA only affects "Play now" aka exhibition games.

what is the purpose of that then. Who just plays exhibition games only. That is no fun, no competition to go to the playoffs or anything like that. So much for their statement of always fresh everyday.

This feature just like all of EA's features are geared towards online gamers. Especially OTP
