Re: Um, where is Steve Nash!?

I understand that the idea of "Live 365" is to keep things as realistic as possible... However, having said that, there comes a time where you have to decide what's more important: Realism or Fun-factor? By taking Nash off the team, there's really no fun in using Team Canada whatsoever.

Furthermore, if it's going to be 100% realistic, then stephenson would have to take off not only Nash, but Jamaal Magloire and Samuel Dalembert as well, since neither of them are currently on the team either. Dalembert was kicked off the team by coach Leo Rautins and has announced that he will never play for us again unless Rautins is fired. As for Magloire, he has NEVER represented Canada at any point during his career.

Listen, we are talking about a videogame, and videogames should always be fun above all else. And to the person who said "That's like putting Allen Iverson or Tim Duncan on Team USA": I disagree. The difference is, Team USA is already stacked with talent. So it's easy for you to say "just keep things realistic". American gamers aren't going to be negatively impacted by this at all. But to us Canadians, Steve's pretty much all we have to look forward to. Especially now that Dalembert is no longer a member of the team.

Not to mention the fact that Nash was advertised as a member of the team before the game was released, as he was featured in that "FIBA Teaser". So, I think it would be very unfair to remove him now after I've purchased the game. It just doesn't make much sense to me... If EA felt that Nash wasn't worthy of being on the team, then why put him there in the first place? It's not like we JUST now learned that Steve isn't active with the team. That's been common knowledge for years. So, why have him on the team to begin with? Only to remove him two weeks later?

The bottom line is... Removing Nash would have a WAY bigger negative impact on myself and other Canadian ballers as opposed to the positive impact it would have on everyone else. In other words, whether Nash is on the team or not doesn't matter to anyone but people like myself. So, why not just do us this small favor since it's really not harming anyone at all?

stephenson is a reasonable man. I know he'll do the right thing. At least, I hope he will.

Re: Um, where is Steve Nash!?

In my opinion, FIBA teams should be exempt from the DNA updates. Ideally, it would be great if the updates only applied to the NBA side of things. That way, players all over the world could enjoy playing as their country with their best players being featured on the rosters.

Like in EA's NHL series, for example, Sidney Crosby has been featured on the Canadian team for the past two years. Meanwhile, he has never competed in the Olympics or even in the World Cup of Hockey. The developers just put him on the roster because they know that he's the best player from that country. And I think that same logic should apply here. After all, Nash IS Canadian basketball.

By the way, if anyone's curious as to what commercial I keep referring to in my above posts, here it is: =rehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb0uhcARXzs&feature=related
That little advertisement, my fellow NBA Livers, is the main reason I bought this game.

While you're at it....can you create Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Kareem and Magic and put them on the Lakers? Please.

          This could get very interesting.

Umm I think that's exactly what they're going to do once 365 starts working. It's the right thing to do as well.

^ Well, that's fine and dandy, but if you mean online then no... lol.

I got whupped by Canada online, admittedly, and I am gonna accept that defeat. However, I believe that if they are able to be used online (and they are!) that they should be 100% accurate.

                            Is FIBA really that important!?

Nash is Canadian, Canada has a lack of real talent as far as Basketball & the NBA goes & well...Canadians just love Nash!!
If I intend to use Team Canada then I want Nash in my lineup!!
Thanks for putting him back...as for that kid who's whining about him not being a starter, I bet your name is Ed...Special Ed!! Do it yourself boy!!

You guys are being ******** about this, quite honestly. Let's bring Kobe Bryant off the bench for USA then. Same with Lebron.

And if anyone here is doing the "whining" as you call it, it's certainly not me. I have a legitimate complaint that I have brought to the attention of the EA staff, and they have been very forthcoming and responsive to my situation, and I'm very appreciative of that.

stephenson has already assured me that Nash will in fact be re-inserted into the starting lineup, and rightfully so. What stephenson understands, and what you guys seem not to understand, is that this game was purchased with the understanding that Nash was the main guy on this team, not a friggin sixth man. You guys really need to step outside of yourselves and realize that there are other people out there who care much more about this matter than you do. Just try, for one moment, to put yourselves in my shoes. Would you be okay with Lebron and Kobe coming off the bench for your country? Would that not seem a bit silly to you?

If they came off the bench in RL, then they should come off the bench in the game.

Can't you just put him in the starting line-up manually anyways?
