This is one of the dumbest threads I've ever seen. Some of the logic used is downright ridiculous. You want a player on the team even though he's not on the team anymore in real life? stephenson, while you're at it, could you please add Shaquille O'Neal back to the Lakers and Magic both? Oh, and put MJ back on the Bulls if it's not too much trouble. Please bring back Bill Russell so I can play a KG/Russell front court and get rid of Kendrick Perkins..
Um, where is Steve Nash!?

Re: Um, where is Steve Nash!?
So basically, if you take those three guys off, then what you've got is a high school team talent-wise pretty much. Is that fun? I think not.Comment

As I've said about two million times, Nash was advertised as a member of the team. If you think it's "dumb" of me to want something that I dropped 60 bucks for, then fine, you're entitled to your opinion. But I know I'm in the right here, and stephenson agrees with me. Thank goodness.Comment

How are you in the right? You're wanting players on teams that aren't even on the team. That's not right, that's ridiculous.Comment

@crypticjordan
Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Um, where is Steve Nash!?
And now, after I've purchased the game, you think it would be fair to take away the main reason I bought it in the first place? THAT, my friend, would be ridiculous.Comment

Re: Um, where is Steve Nash!?
If you're spending $60 based on the fact that one player is or is not on a certain team, that's even more ridiculous than wanting players on teams they don't play for. The thread is nearing http://www.operationsports.com/forum...load-menu.html in terms of ludicrousness.Comment

Re: Um, where is Steve Nash!?
This whole "advertised" thing is nonsense my man. IF Kobe Bean Bryant (the best player in the Universe) were to get traded from the Lakers before the trading deadline, should he not be moved to his new team just because he was "advertised" on being a member of the Lakers??
Maybe this whole 365 DNA feature is not cut out for someone like you.Last edited by left4dead; 10-23-2008, 06:40 PM.Comment

Re: Um, where is Steve Nash!?
This quote right here by left4dead pretty much sums it all up.
Things change. That's the beauty of Live 365....to get the most accuarate rosters and tendencies to date. Maybe during development of NBA Live 09, Steve Nash was slated to be a member of Team Canada. He obviously chose NOT to play on Canada this summer and there's NO reason why EA should have him there.

My guess is, the developers thought it would be neat to have Steve on the team, as a kind of throw-back to the glory days, and also to appeal to Steve Nash fans from Canada like myself. And I think that's why they gave him the #7 in this game, because that's actually his old number that he wore back in the 1990's with Team Canada.
As for "Live 365", I totally love the feature. I just don't think it should be applied to the FIBA side of things. For NBA transactions and whatnot, sure, that's cool. But when it comes to international teams, I don't see why you guys think there's a need to be so strict with it. It should be a fun little feature - not something that gets dissected and over-analyzed.Comment
