does this game have defense????

im used to playing nba 2k9, and anybody here who has played that game knows that contesting shots, on the perimiter or the paint simply do not matter, i dont even think the ratings matter in this game for offense or defense as i can consitently hit thress with kg because i know his release point............people constantly bash this game because it is to arcadey but now i think 2k is too arcadey, what makes a game a true sim and a real nba counterpart is defense does this game have that, can u defend the post??? do the ratings actually matter??? on 2k i can take kwame brown and dominate...........can u dominate with perkins on here................can i cut off screens or back door passes...can i contest a perimter shot and it matter????

Honestly MIML, just go to Blockbuster and rent it for a few days.
It's the only way to truly find out.

Yes, the game has defense, and the defensive control scheme is really quite good.

However, in the words of Yoda, "You must unlearn what you have learned" from 2k.

Its completelly different.

Yep, there's definitely defense. You've gotta move your defender against the ball handler and you'll enter "Lock-Down Mode" as Marv Albert often refers to it. Try stopping Team USA on the "Superstar" difficulty. Good luck with that one.
