Fast break problem 110%solved by editing one attribute

I globally edited every player on the computer opponents team i was going to play and the attribute i changed was dunk/layup AGGRESSIVENESS. i made everybody on the team have a 99 as i felt that in real nba basketball everybody is going to drive for a dunk/layup if its completely open. This attribute change made me see completely new animations from the computer players and they attempted fastbreaks so often i felt like i was playing a human opponent. Now i have a lot more testing to do with this but i would like u guys to check this out because if we can come to the conclusion that this one attribute will have such a positive effect we could get the ea team to change it permanently through the updates. but im gettin way way ahead of myself just check it out for yourself and let me know wut u think

We have yet to get confirmatiion that EA is addressing the lack of fastbreak issues in the patch. I'm going to wait and see if they are.

I'm sorry, I'm not spending that amount of time to edit EVERY CPU controlled player to get this game to play the right way AGAIN this year. Good luck to anyone who is willing to do so.

Hopefully, they deliver a resolution with the patch.

Going to try this out tonight. I am praying it works as the lack of fast breaking by the cpu is killing the game for me...

      Thanks for the post

Anyone tried upping the fastbreak awareness attribute? Maybe it could help too.

Dude with universal edit it takes about 4 minutes to edit every players attribute in one category... heh

            100% does NOT work unfortunately

I put the Suns all at aggressiveness 99 and all the players fast break anticipation at 99...

And they still don't fast break properly/ attack the hoop.

The fastbreak AI is COMPLETELY BROKEN.

Example: CPU Iverson broke away on me...he had JR Smith on one wing and Melo on the other...

CPU Iverson went to the top of the key while CPU Melo and JR Smith went to the corners for 3 point shots despite NO ONE BEING IN FRONT OF THEM...NO ONE...

Clear path to the hoop...and the CPU guys go to the 3 point line 99% of the time in this game...

            It's fundamentally broken AI.

Beluba...this needs a patch. This isn't a missing headband or accessory...this is a massive AI flaw.

ya if that really happened to you then i agree and i haven't tested it enough yet to see that it really does have as good of an impact as i initially suspected

Try this: don't take your defenders back on D....

Just let the CPU wing men remain unguarded.

You'll see that most of the time they simply walk to the 3pt line...even without anyone on them.

The fastbreak code is extremely poor.

I second that. I tried it last night certain it woud help, then 2 minutes into the "test" game, no dice. I even upped the dribble speed and it looked as if players were dribbling the same speed as before. Big Let down. Shut it off for the night.

Yep, tried it too against the Suns last night at my cousin's place, same result as yours. Right now I'm just kinda puzzled, lol, some games some teams run the break well. Some games they don't.

That's too bad, I hope they patch that. ANY NBA player, if left with an open line to the hoop, will drive it straight to the rim and dunk it (if they can dunk).

For the game not to have that "logic" built in is a real puzzler.

Wouldn't any future 365 DNA roster update negate this editing?

                          I believe it will.

But if it indeed worked, one could do the edits before heading into Dynasty.

I thought I was going crazy...so I am relieved that you guys have seen the problem so clearly also.

Some of our best / longest posters are playing this game also...and I am kind of shocked no one has mentioned the horrible cpu ai on fastbreaks. It's so obvious. Steve Nash doesn't even run a 3-1 fastbreak in LIVE...but no one seems to want to mention it. Strange.

At least you guys saw it immedaitely also.

Vision did you try upping ONLY the Game Speed?? About 10 clicks from what Tomba has it at??

I played 3 games yesterday after upping the game speed and got really good results.. I played the Knicks who had 10 Fastbreak Points on me, Portland had 12 on me in the first game I played them, and 6 on me the last game... But I fouled them about 4 times on the break so they didnt score everytime...

could just be that my D sucks...
