I just purchased the game used from Gamestop, and I'm trying to enter the code printed on the back of the instructions to update the game. It is not accepted. Am I using the right code? If not where do a acquire it? The manual was the only other content of the package.

If I'm correct one can only use the code once. Since you bought the game used you have to purchase a new code, because someone previous already used the code.

$10 I believe. It should be on PSN or Xbox Live Marketplace.

I seem to still have the ability to play on line, which is really my only interest. Should I bother with purchasing this code?

No, don't buy it.

It is a waste if you will only play online.

Don't you need updated rosters to play online? Or is that free?

Your game loads the online roster set every time you login. This is part of online play so your online rosters will always be current and with the proper DNA info.

The code is mostly for rosters used during offline play. You can not save the online rosters you get when you connect to XBL or PSN.
