I just hope the patch does three main things:

1 - Fix the UN-fast break mentality of the CPU. Meaning, if there's an open lane, they take it to the hole!

The CPU fast breaks plenty with left4dead's sliders. I'm just not seeing the problem here.

Part of the patch process is Microsoft and sony testing certain aspects of what fixes are included, once those fixes are certified ok EA is notified.

Until they get word that everything went smoothly they don't want to say they fixed "auto-inbound" for example if that coding section of the patch was unsuccessful and had to be left out.

the key word was take it to the basket on a fast break if there is an open lane to drive for a layup or dunk. cpu rarely does that with any realistic fast break logic.

the most uptempo team in the nba is golden st and if the fast breaks truly worked reasonably well you'd see it if you played the warriors but it doesn't that's why you don't see the warriors running or even attempting to run.

So I was wondering, and from the sounds of it no one knows but... Will the patch effect an in progress dynasty? If so what is the patch supposed to fix? Anyway I was curious, I went ahead and started my dynasty today. I had to edit all the players with 14s-15s on their DNA, the one's who hadn't played yet. Also had to edit rosters/IR/starting lineups. It took awhile but I saved my roster so it won't be big deal if I have to start a new dynasty.

I agree 150% with ur guess as i think the patch will barely do anything otherwise the devs would be hyping up the work the team had done to fix everything and about how they are so interested in constantly listening to our feedback so im not expecting much at all from this patch and its gotten to the point where im actually starting to think if i should switch back to 2k9 for good now because honestly the 365 dna is nowhere near as advertised because i myself could have done a better job with the rosters and already have by far. EA claimed that they would adjust ratings and dna daily but now we find out that ratings will be adjusted weekly and they still haven't been touched yet

Daily ratings changes don't make sense. If you think about it, players don't get better/worse daily. Our plan is to combine daily hot/cold streak adjustments (based on how they are playing compared to their average), along with gradual ratings changes for guys that are are blowing up or going downhill over the course of the season.

Our streaks should start populating in the game soon once we have a start of season 'average' to base on. Most players have only played seven games so far.

The patch does have a lot of changes... it was a big effort. When we get a date from Sony/MS, more info will be revealed.

Daily ratings changes don't make sense. If you think about it, players don't get better/worse daily. Our plan is to combine daily hot/cold streak adjustments (based on how they are playing compared to their average), along with gradual ratings changes for guys that are are blowing up or going downhill over the course of the season.

My main hope for "the patch" is hopefully it fixes the "after the made basket, toss the ball half court to your centre for an open dunk" glitch. That one thing alone kills online play. If that was removed, online would be a nice battle between players. But as of right now. once a person gets down by 10 points, they just keep doing that to score. It's very frustrating and takes ZERO SKILL to pull off.

Along with lowering the shooting sliders, especially inside the paint. And having the ability to matchup your best defender on who you want them to guard. This is not in Madden 09 either, not really sure why this aspect of the game is ignored. It's strategic, and forces your opponent to have to create a game plan. And that's what I would like to see, a strategic sports game that forces both players to have think, have to play call, come up with a game plan. This is what the real coaches of the NBA and NFL are forced to do. Adds so much depth and replay value to a game IMO.

at least tell me if i should start my dynasty now or wait until the patch. I know that sometimes you have to start a dynasty over in order to see the effects of a patch.

We know EA is listening, now let's hope they take our request into consideration and make some changes. I'd love to edit it on my own but then I don't get the DNA changes which is truly a great innovation. Regardless, it's good to see the EA team here and being active.
