Wow cool Australia. You make good points and this is the reason why i like Live as well. You are right on about how live's graphics and sound just add to this game. I just want more lol because there is room for improvement.

This whole, body/weight momentum and foot planting thing in Live is the TRUTH.

This is by far the best Live since 2005.

The thing holding this one back is that 2005 had more little things that added to the immersion.

But Live 09 is top shelf for real. I've enjoyed mostly every game that I've played so far.

Yep, its a foundation game as we've said from jumpstreet, but its a solid foundation at that.

While it remains a fun game, I cant wait to see what they add in next year animation wise, and hopefully fix the player models once and for all.

I'd say im not feeling cheated by this game at all.. the scripted factor is not here. You cant just say, Im going to just dunk right now and do it everytime.

as far as player models if they could just make it so players have accurate and true to life heights and wingspans, that would be awesome... And, if you think about it, there really is no excuse that this isnt in, being that its "next gen" and all.

other then that; like i have stated before, I think live is amazing. But I cant wait until they add A LOT more animations. If they had half as many as 2k this game would be better then 2k by a long shot.

this is all my opinion of course. (except the player models thing, that NEEDS to happen)

There is no excuse for it, and hasnt been for years really. They've needed an upgrade for a long time, and hopefully beluba and stephenson can remedy this thing.

Only thing is, Live has been trash the past few years with all of the people they had on the project that didnt seem to care too much about what they were doing... so that pretty much leads us to what we're talking about now.

They seem to have addressed some of the issues the game had, but they have many more to remedy. Even with that, the game is fun with what it does offer, and expecting anything more than that out of a one year change is just not realistic.

                  I love this game.

Dunno why, maybe it's the slider settings, the DNA updates, but I'm actually having more fun playing now than I was when I first got it, before seeing all the issues I had with the game.

Tomba said something about slider settings actually "unlocking" new animations (well, making them more frequent), and I'm seeing a couple of new animations that I didn't see before.

                  Can't wait for the patch.

I've definitely seen the layup animations "open up" more. They've gotten more flamboyant.

Yeah I'm from Australia too, (Victoria). Lives features keeps me in touch what's going on in the NBA. (We've got NBA on cable here, but I don't have cable at the moment)

There is always the internet to follow what's going on. But that's not the same as putting yourself into last nights game with the latest DNA etc

It is a really nice touch intergrating the espn.com stuff. I know I can just go to the internet and see the same stuff. It is just great to have the game and and real life stuff in the one place.
