How does live(post patch) compare to NCAA
I'm just wondering for those people who have played both games this year and have the patch for Live, how does it compare? I'm really holding off getting NCAA, but just wondering what you think? Is Live post patch as good as NCAA this year? From playing hte demo of NCAA I think it's the best bball game this year thats why i say this.Tags: None -

Re: How does live(post patch) compare to NCAA
Live and NCAA feel like different games, but both have the fun factor in spades.
A big thing is not to nitpick either to death.
I think that's what kills a lot of games in our minds - we go crazy trying to find things we don't like about games, rather than just playing them and enjoying them for what they are.
Is Live a better game than 2k9 this year? No, it's just different ... and IMO has the edge in fun factor.
Is NCAA 09 a better game than CH2K8? Probably not, but again - fun factor.Comment

Re: How does live(post patch) compare to NCAA
I agree that each game has something to offer and not to pit these games against each other and I should probably just get both. But ultimately i dont normally play 3 different basketball games nor do i have the time to do that.
The past several years Ive bought NBA 2k and then ill get college hoops and i usually end up playing that the rest of the time because it just seems a tad better because of the extra dev time or whatever.
This year i bought nba 2k9. Then i got live and ive really been holding off getting NCAA although i played the demo a ton and really like it. I tend to think ti might be bit better because of the extra dev time, but its hard to tell ebcause Live really stands on its own this year as well. The graphics are a bit more detailed. 365 is obviously huge. The defense is tougher. But i get the feeling in NCAA when playing the demo i can kind of just freestyle it and what id expect to happen happens. The controls are just more responsive, animations seem a bit smoother, and teams also play differently.
So I sort of am looking for impressions from those who have played both.Last edited by Walker8; 11-27-2008, 01:05 AM.Comment

Given the choice between Live 09 and NCAA 09, I take Live because I'm an NBA fan.Comment

Cool. I'm going to keep holding off on NCAA i think. I dont think any of these games this year are that great to justify buying 3 basketball games. Live while good is still a work in progress and i get the same feeling about ncaa. Just hard to tell from the demo is all. I also prefer the NBA and if they are pretty comparable i'll just stick with Live for now.Comment
