    I've officially reached legend status

I dont know what happened, but I was kind of just horking around with this game since i got it and couldnt quite get a lot of stuff down was doing ok. But a lightbulb went off. I was playing online. I had won a couple in a row and getting the hang of things, and I was down 30-8 agains thtis guy first quarter. I was trying to play sim and he came out throwing every bit of cheese at me. He was going baseline every play. He had Ray Allen at point and was throwing full court passes. I got pissed or something and I ended up beating the guy 100-60 lol. Maybe it was that he was using my team, and had players playing out of position I don't know. But basically the next 3 quarters i outscored him 92-30. I wasnt even cheesing. I just harnessed the quickstrike ballhandling and was throwing lightning passes every where and was rebounding out of my mind and blocking shots, getting in passing lanes and i went nuts or something. I wish i taped the game because it was something to see. It was fun. The good thing about all of this is I was able to shut all the cheese he was doing down.

Re: I've officially reached legend status

There is sort of a point to this post other than me bragging. I went back adn played the cpu after pushing things to the limit against that guy. I lost on superstar to the Lakers(I was the C's) by 9 points. I was trying to do the same stuff that worked so well that game and the cpu actually adjusted to me and shut me down. Nothing felt cheesy and it was just a realistic game. I am completely sold on this game at this point for that reason. I can push the AI in this game so hard and it doesn't break. There are ways to counter everything in this game and nothing feels cheesy to me. I don't feel forced to have to play a certain way to get realistic results. This is something that other bball games have not done for me in years.

I dont know what EA did, but fast breaks now seem fixed. FT's I miss them against the cpu because of the vibration and delay is perfect(it would be cool if they can somehow make it harder depending on the situation ie if its late game and a guy is clutch which they might be already?). Subbing seems to be more realistic when playing 10 min quarters superstar. The cpu takes timeouts now at the right times, and works the clock smartly and the game plays differently depending on the situation. The core gameplay in this game is about as close to perfect as i've seen. Obviously EA will probably come up with ways to improve it. I'd maybe like to see fast breaks done a little differently with more guard oriented fast breaks and more realistic rotations, but they seem to be really good suddenly although it may be dependant on who i'm playing. I'd like to see EA improve online play and head2head, to make it a more realistic experience for leagues and stuff next year, but it seems better as well. I'm sure EA is coming up with other good things to improve this game next year, but this game is really really good now after the patch. I have not been this happy with a basketball game in a long time.

This game plays nearly perfect for me out of the box now on 9 or 10 minute quarters superstar. FG%'s and FT attempts and the time of play could be adjusted somewhat to maybe make it 12 minute quarters but its really close.
