Some necessary fixes for NBA Live 2010 (online, especially!)

I am not one to complain, but I have seen a few things that can be easily fixed, so I will post them here.

Anyone who has played online (especially 5 on 5) has noticed how people receive a pass under the hoop, walk backwards, wait for people to jump, then explode for the dunk. That's kind of unrealistic.

Also, if you do it right, there are still too many alley oops (but some of the alley oops that are well executed fail because of the patch.)

So, here are my suggestions: first of all, as always, we need more body contact under the rim. People shouldn't have the option of walking backwards. Second, it should be easier to steal the ball the CLOSER you get to the basket. Sounds crazy, but that will kill a lot of driving cheese. If your big man is standing there dribbling under the basket (especially walking backwards or doing one of those spin move things) that should be cookies all day.

For the alley oop problem, this is also fairly simple. I have noticed that the 'steal' button is the only effective way to stop this ( lol, yall are like... yeah... stupid.) However, I have found that a lot of times a jump is timed well and the ball goes right through my hands because it's a 'block jump' and not a steal jump. So, the ball needs to recognize that it's going through a hand and deflect!

Oh and... TONE DOWN GO TO MOVES!!

    That's all.

While I agree that those issues need to be dealt with the reality is they are EXPLOITS...When you play people who avoid all exploits the game is really very solid. Every game ever made has exploits...the question is...Do we want programmers and producers spending more time cheese proofing???...or more time innovating and making real improvements?

Uhhh... both. lol. Choice C, bro.

No, but seriously... the two should go hand in hand. Like I said it's not hard to change it a bit so that the closer you get to the basket the easier it is to rip. That's real NBA stuff right there! Nobody stands under the hoop and dribbles haha. And nobody does crossovers and stuff in the paint.

Exploits? I wanna see them remove those super big lineups. That to me is the ultimate exploit cuz it's so lame to play against. People running Kobe or Odom at PG and the rest is just disgusting.

Basically this thread already exists (Wishlist) but I'll jump in. I agree about the "Easier to steal the closer you are to the basket" part, I also think that guards should be able to steal from big guys easily.

In "real life" big guys don't dribble around guards (if ever), and that should be reflected in the game.
