i got mine used and figured the code was used so i went to where the new games r but the cases r empty at gamestop and took the paper put it in mine luckly that code worked hehe

They are daily roster updates and they also give you rewind games.

I love the game BUT this code thing is a bunch of crap. I bought it new so it was no prob for me. I just hate the concept. Low class all the way.

The rewind certainly isn't worth much. Still not many rewind games available.

this dude posted up a roster update from 12/30 that u can put onto ur ps3 via usb drive it worked for me i dont need rewind crap just the roster update for playing in-house not online

They don't cost extra - if you buy the game new.
It only costs extra if you buy the game used.
Since EA makes no money on used games, I don't have a problem with them charging for the code.

Like said before the game comes with the code if you buy new. All these game companies are sick of gamestop making all the money on used games and the actual company who created the game gets nothing. This is the beginning of a very long fight against used games. The economy is sliding but gamestop put up record numbers last year because the more used games you buy and trade in the more money they make. If you really like a game and want to keep that company in buisness buy their games new. If the company has so much money and barely knows what to do with it coughEAcough then buy them used and save yourself a nickle
