Do players ratings ever get updated?
I switched to Live a week ago and its not bad and its diffrent then playing the same basketball game for the last 5 years with no change at all. But the main reason I got live was the roster updates which I see it updates the tendencys and stuff daily but the players regular ratings seem like they haveno been ever touched.

Yes guys. You'll see ratings change, but they change gradually instead of quickly.Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/stephensonmc

Re: Do players ratings ever get updated?
Yeah, I gotta get used to the ratings scale I think... 2K has ruined my curve with rating everyone halfway decent 80 or above... I see Linas Kleiza down at 68 or whatever and it makes me eyes bug out. I haven't noticed any changes really, but I mostly just look at OVR ratings... I imagine that most of the changes are subtle (thank god, nice change from 2K's over-the-top updates every week) and done to things like shooting ratings that won't change the OVR a ton from week to week.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Do players ratings ever get updated?
Its nice to not have every player jacked up in ratings like NBA 2k and that is the main reason I said enough with NBA 2k and sold my copy and took a chance on NBA Live. Maybe Im not adjusted to the rating system in NBA Live but the #1 reason I got Live was the 365 and DNA.
When I see the season is already 30+ games in and good players or players good in some areas still are not updated accuratly I think well the rosters are broken. Seems like NBA Live likes to overrate the big name players and forget about the role players or the little guys.
Theres plenty of big name stars that should be decreased big time like Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, Baron Davis, Mcgrady and thats a few from the top of my head.
Players that are rated too low or as bums that are playing at a high level. Brandon Roy, Paul Millsap, Rodney Stuckey, John Salmons, and theres alot more. I don't get why someone like Rodger Mason is nothing but automatic killing 3s all season yet he has a average rating for 3pt shooting, and many players are rated too low in certain areas and not getting bumped up. Im not saying jack the players ratings up, but increase the ratings in the area the player excels at.
All players do something great and if there not starters they get playing time because they add something to the team. It might be someone is a good slasher, plays great defense, good 3pt shooter, great rebounder. maybe a player is not great at anything but solid at everything.
I just been looking at the ratings I notice everything like how infalted Ray Allens ratings are. How someone like Mike Conley is one of the fastest players in the NBA yet theres about 50 players like Ray Allen, Michael Redd, and players that are not even PGs or known for speed at all that are jacked up. If anything Conleys main thing is his speed. Just seems like alot of ratings leave you scratching your head and are based on nothing but BS.Comment

Re: Do players ratings ever get updated?
Yeah, a lot of ratings were jacked in the first place, so these incremental adjustents haven't done much to make the final ratings seem right. A lot of guys are WAY underrated, as you mentioned... and the OVR is the least worrying.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Do players ratings ever get updated?
Yeah guys, you'll see ratings adjustments, but they won't be dramatic like you might expect. We overhauled every player's rating in the game about a month ago and they've been gradually declining / increasing over time. If a player is playing well, their rating will get there.Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/stephensonmc
