Beluba, in addition to tweaking the late game AI.

You guys should also add in some AI logic that would have the star player become the primary ball handler, in late game and end of qtr. scenarios just like IRL.

In the other game, at the end of each qtr. the AI will have the star of the team (for example) Kobe, Lebron, Dwade, etc. intiate all of the plays when the CPU has control of the ball for the last possession of each qtr.

It was a really cool addition that the competition added this year and I think Live can utilize this also and probably expand on it some.

Especially, considering how well you guys portray Iso's and pick and rolls in your game already.

For Live10 maybe consider adding some new AI, that would not only have the stars intiate the plays at the end of each qtr. but also intiate most of the plays in the final 2 minutes or so of close games.

It would be nice to see late game AI added, that shifts the focus from 3 and a half qtrs. of team play, to Stars trying to win games in the last 2-3 minutes by making shots OR setting up their teammates.

Just like we see down the stretch of close games IRL.

Yeah, clock management, quick hitting plays, and "need a 3" plays are high priority items on our list. Hopefully, they will cover a lot of the issues with late game AI.

And yes, having other players besides the PG initiate the offense is a must. We wanted to implement that last year but it was out of scope. We should be able to work it into our play system for '10.

Any information on how the defense should react? That was the primary issue I was touching upon such as when to foul/when not to foul.

well, based on your original post, yeah I think the CPU should've handled it differently. obviously, the first foul that put you up 5 was dumb. the rest of the game doesn't sound too bad IF duncan's 2's were very quick and basically gimmies. but i would've expected a quick 3 in one of those last spurs' possessions.

like i told you over AIM, i think our end of game intentional foul logic just needs some love. it's probably a little too simplistic right now.

Yup. It looks like that would fix most of the problems. That's where the issues seem to lie.
