Here's the problem with not having animations that any and everyone can do. In real life. shaq can cross over. he has done it to other centers. not often at all. but he has done it. the thing is this you should allow every player to be able to ATTEMPT. key word. ATTEMPT. to do what all the other players do. now the thing is most players can't complete the move. 99.9% of the nba can't do one or two dribble pull ups like kobe. except for melo, and brandon roy. lebron can try. but he can't do it (YET). thats how you make a game super realistic. if people want to cross over with shaq. let them. but when the ball bounces off his foot its there problem. thats REAL basketbal. REAL physics.

Now here's the trick. if you do this. you have to make sure the controls to do these extra moves will not interfere with you trying to do a normal move with the proper guy. for instance fine shaq can't cross people over at will or else he will lose the ball. but what i dont want to see is a situation where its hard for me to make shaq turn right to left without trying to attempt a crossover i wasn't trying to attempt. which results in shaq dropping the ball. you have to watch for that. but its funny listening to mike talk about the two games. cause i said this when i bought both games this year. it was the first time in 3 years i've purchased a NBA live. and i told people even though 2k is better to play. that live may catch up in 2010 and/or possibly surpass 2k, strickly on that DNA thing. on top of the fact how they have worked on the cross over/dribbling moves with the right analog stick. it feels more natural. then waiting for a couple of button clicks of the triggers to trigger certain dribbling animations in 2k. but we all knew a combo of 2k and live would be great. and thats exactly what mike wang is talking about. and then some.

**online Dynasties are a must. 1vs1 and 5 vs 5 dynasties online.
not one season but 20 years worth or 15 years worth. this is the only way people wont quit the league. if you have the weaker team atleast you have the luxury of getting a top draft pick at the end of the year. so there's something to look forward to. if all you have is one season. if you start losing. there's no reason to play the rest of the season out. ***

    ^^^please look at this

No i'm not kidding. you must not know what i'm talking about. every nba star has commented on how kobe can do it but they can't. kobe actually said who could do it NOW. cause he showed him how. MELO. he showed him over the summer. bron still can't do it properly. its very very difficult to do. take a hard bounce as if you're going forward then pull up for a jumper and hit it. with great body balance. people cant do it. ROY can, kobe can, and now melo. i think thats about it.

If you mean that very few players in the NBA can make that shot, then yes, I might agree with you on that one.

But as far as I can tell, any perimeter player with halfway decent ballhandling skills can pull the move off-- making the shot is a whole nother story and has to do with your mid range shooting ability.

I'd say the following people can pull off the move and make the shot consistently:

          Kobe Bryant
          Carmelo Anthony
          Dirk Nowitzki
          Paul Pierce
          Tracy McGrady
          OJ Mayo
          Jamal Crawford

You can see that the list is basically great jump shooters with great ballhandling ability and a penchant for contested jumpers.

I totally agree with you. Its a feature that people can really use as a cheating tool since they cant run sets and can play solid defence. Now amare can run the floor with the best but still not every play. In nba live 09 speed and strenght to be honest are nonexsistant . I was on a fastbreak with lebrone james and pau gasol caught up with me and foul me! I had a least 7 feet distance!
